Beverly Hills 3 was horrible! I say make a fourth and if it works, stop there and let it go out with a bang. Murphy should stay away from the family films because they don’t work for him; Nutty Professor was the exception but I wouldn’t consider that wholely family fun.

If they were smart, they’d set it in Detroit and send Judge Reinhold over there. Then HE would be the Beverly Hills Cop! Lots of potential laughs with Murphy trying to keep Reinhold alive on the rough streets of Detroit. But that’s just MHO

Does this mean that (like Indy and John McClane in their 4th outtings) Axel will suddenly become totally indestructable…albeit older and grumpy?

Oh, and of course add a young “hip” sidekick!

Jamie.

I have to agree with the Klingon. Do the 4th installment, have it kick butt like Rocky Balboa and Rambo, then let it be. I really enjoyed the first 2 movies; I thought they were Murphy at his best, but the third was BLECH. This COULD be a funny film, as long as Ratner doesn’t try to squeeze TOO much into the story.

Ratner is a hack - and he has been recycling the same movie model since Money Talks - hence all three Rush Hour movies. And anything else he has done has pretty much been a take on soemthing else someone has done. He also ruined the Xmen franchise by taking out all the heart and emotion Singer had infused in the first two movies.

The fact that he would be doing this (and setting it in London - gasp! Fish out of water!!! So original!!) totally fits with his profile.

Right now I don;t know what will be worse - this or McG’s T4.

Slapstick craptacular.
Sh_t wrapped in gold still smells.

Bev Cop had a cool soundtrack and was a decent 90’s vibe film.
BUT….
That’s it there’s nothing else to see here folks move along, move along.

Ratners really setting his sights low. What a d_ld_!

I’m totally with 790
Don’t think a good remake (like the original) will be very fit for the public of today. It was perfect for the 90’s and will never be any good today. At least not with changing the whole concept.

Steven

I vote for Hippie’s idea; that’s the smartest idea yet!

Of course, being the smartest idea means it hasn’t a hope in heck of being made, seeing as smart ideas get tossed out with the baby and the bathwater.
