According to The Guardian pharmaceutical companies are preparing for Michael Moore’s next “documentary”: Sicko by informing their employees to steer clear of “a scruffy guy in a baseball cap” who asks too many questions.
Here’s a question: Does anybody really need to be told that if Michael Moore comes up to you and asks questions you should shut up, turn around, and walk the other way?
Now I’m no fan of HMOs and the recent spate of anti-pain drugs causing heart problems certainly is an ugly situation, but I’d be much more inclined to look forward to a documentary on the subject if say, Morgan Spurlock (the guy behind the excellent film Super Size Me were doing it.

Hmmmm… interesting comment considering Morgan Spurlock said he believes Moore is the greatest documentarian of our generation.
And running away when Moore asks a question says a whole lot about you/your company/your industry. It would be better to answer the questions honestly and move on, especially if you’ve got nothing to hide or be ashamed of. But then again, big drug companies and Bush administration members aren’t big on the whole “honesty” thing.
(hehe… I couldn’t resist)
Wow, did Spurlock really say that??

I understand your desire to yank my chain of course, but I believe that Moore’s skills at taking things out of context and editing to support his point would make an honest comment moot.

In an interview with AICN, Spurlock said Michael Moore (among others) has influenced him as a filmmaker. The link to the article is here.
I would be interested to know when and where Spurlock made the other comment. That’s a pretty bold statement. Actually, calling Moore a documentarian is a stretch, as far as I’m concerned.

I’m sorry, but it was hard enough to take Michael Moore seriously as is, but after seeing Team America, every time I see Moore I can’t help but laugh.
As for the “documentary,” as far as I’m concerned, if you need someone to tell you that the pharmaceutical industry is a bit “out there,” then you, my friend, are probablly the one downing the valium
