Neat concept. Some deeper thematic elements like the temptations toward using a power like that for gain, and the temptation by those without power to overpower those with them. Kinda like what goes on in “Heroes”.

Could be good. Time to see if Hayden Christiensen can act, given something other to work with than a George “I don’t like sand” Lucas script.

Yeah, it IS an interesting concept. And Brian, hasn’t Hayden ever done anything good? I always thought it was Lucas’ fault he was so horrible as Anakin.

Looks pretty awesome

Is this supposed to be an Anakin-Mace Windu Rematch?… They got the primitive version of the lightsabers and everything

Oh god, Mace Windu Vs Anakin Skywalker in Episode III was a bloody joke. Mace Windu is supposed to be the best there is when it comes to fighting with a light saber, yet he looked ridiculous fighting against Anakin. Lets hope they can do it a bit better justice this time around. I have always liked Samuel L Jackson but he was a bit of a letdown in Star Wars I always thought. Lets hope this time around he’s a little more bad ass, and a little less whine whine moan moan.

No comments on Anakin or mace Windu in Star Wars. …
Other than to say I think your right Vic about Lucas having something to do with any weak acting you saw in Star Wars….
^
I didn’t have any real problems with any of the Star Wars films.
^
Lastly..
I hope Speilburg talks Lucas into directing the next Star Wars trilogy. The one that would take off after “Return of the Jedi”.
^
Anyway…..
I think this Jumper film looks intertaining.
I hope the script is good and Sam Jacksons allways fun.
I have to say Hayden was in a independant film right after SWROTS.
He played a writer I believe. The film was nominated for a Independant Spirit Award.
I’ve met Hayden and he’s a real nice kid. Nothing bad to say aboiu him.

Vic, the teaser didn’t impress me, but this looks good. Two observations:

1. Falling under the ice is one of the best First Use of Superpowers I’ve seen.

2. Neat how he brings some of his environment with him.

3. The only sane reason anyone should ask the question “Did I just teleport?” would be if the concept and word had been discussed earlier.

4. “Anywhere is Possible” is one of the leanest, cleanest, meanest subtitles I’ve seen in a LONG time.

A few days ago, Hayden Christiansen told Jay Leno about being “mainly alone” on his farm. Then he explained how he is trying to train his “male pig,” which likes to root around with its nose, to rub its nose on Hayden’s leg or back muscles, as a massage. Nowhere in this story does he grin or blush.

Leno and guest Will Farrell had a field day with this. Is it possible he is just a naive young man with no concept of how this story would sound (let alone the behavior itself)–or is he as dumb as pig slop?

Oh yeah, the clip from Jumper looked like randomly spliced scenes, with no context, sounds, or visual cues (ala Journeyman, Hiro, or Nightcrawler).
