Ya know, viral movie campaigns are fun and all, but please don’t start yanking our collective chain by making us think a new trailer will debut - and then have it not.
Based on the page that led to the reveal of the super-cool new poster for The Dark Knight, where at the bottom it said “Four Days,” and that was, you guessed it: 4 days ago. Everyone knows there’s a new trailer right around the corner so assumed that it would be showing up… but noooooo.
It was just a breadcrumb on the path to the actual trailer release date.

I’m both too busy and too lazy to dig up clues given through viral campaigns, so I just wait for other folks to band together to figure ‘em out. This one comes from my pals over /Film. ![]()
Above is the image that the next step in the viral campaign led everyone to, on this page: WhySoSerious.com/happytrails/:
So does that mean that we’ll actually see the new trailer on Sunday? One can only hope.
There’s some speculation that the new Dark Knight trailer may be attached to Iron Man, which opens this week, but there’s nothing solid to back that up. As far as I know there will be a new trailer for The Incredible Hulk attached to Iron Man, but it would make more sense for this trailer to appear with Speed Racer, since they’re both Warner Bros. movies.
I guess we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the next bit of Batman goodness…

Much respect for posting the trailer, not I didn’t have to wait a week to see that. The trailer was entertaining to a degree, but definitely not worth all the hype that it was expected to have. Granted, Vic, it would have been better to see in a theater, but am I the only one who thinks that it didn’t have anything worth being anymore excited about?
I must confess to looking at the youtube video.
Contrary to JoeC, I found much to be excited about. There are more plot hints (without getting into specifics) and some really cool, but quick action clips in there as well.
This really looks like it’s going to be the “Empire Strikes Back” of this franchise. In other words, the ending is not likely to be a pretty one (but in all likelyhood a very entertaining one).
Looking forward to the high-res, and official version of the trailer to analyze the coolness even more (videos like this, as tempting as they are, still blur subtle details that add to the total package). I will say this, though, at least whoever shot the video knows how to hold a camera steady, unlike some others I’ve seen.
The trailer was way better as far as showing the story and even having the oil spill scene that makes two face. But it was lousy for WB to only show it to the on-ground people who did the scavenger hunt. I’m no where near any of the cities the chose.
And Harvey Dent’s line, “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” PURE GOLD
I hate viral campaigns. SO annoying. Just get to the point, dammit!
Just caught a bootleg version of the trailer. It was FANTASTIC!!!! Definitely better than the last one, IMO. Ledger’s Joker was great, he seemed more like the comic book Joker in it, IMO.
I can’t wait to see it in HD!!
Doo doo de doo de doody de doo
Doo doo de doo de doooo doooo
Doo doo de doo de doody de doo
==! PSYCHE! == goes the Joker
Ya can’t have it both ways:
* “Iron Man marketing has revealed too much! I wish they’d stop!”
* “Why can’t they show us MORE, MORE, MORE Dark Knight!”
