They’ve certainly done a decent job advertising the new show. I have to admit I barely watch any television shows anymore, but after seeing the commercials, I’ve considered checking out the first episode of this one. Seems a little darker than average if you go solely by the commercial.

9 am? What is this? A soap opera? or a typo? ;-)

I may tune in for the first episode or two, but honestly, the only thing Sci Fi Channel has put out that’s been any good over the past 10 years IMHO has been the “Stargate” shows and “Battlestar Galactica.”

Other than that, crappy series and made-for-SciFi TV movies.

Just a note on two of the above comments, although not a huge name, Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica signed on to the show. This also might be a reason for you to watch as well Vic, since she was on one of your shows.

Yup, I’d heard that and I’ve even seen a clip of her from the new show. As I said, I’ll check it out but an actor from a great show appearing on another doesn’t guarantee the new show will be good. :-)

I have to say that I used to think that Michelle Ryan wasn’t much of an actress, she was a staple on the UK soap Eastenders, then two things happened, I Want Candy and Jekyll. I was surprised, particularly with Jekyll - which, by the way, is a superb mini-series and I really hope it travels to the US.

I think she’ll do just fine, and the coach is most definitely for fine tuning.

Did you hear the rumour that Sackhoff walked off the production and has come back on? I just caught a glimpse, don’t know the full story.

Still, I think the whole thing shows promise, but I don’t think it’ll be in the league of Battlestar Galactica.

Nowhere close to BSG, I’m sure - but I hope it’s better than Sci Fi’s “Painkiller Jane.”

See here:

for the Katee Sackhoff, Bionic contract article.

I’ve seen Katee in one other SciFi show and it kind of panned out for me….

Vic, no! Not a fan of Painkiller Jane! A spin off from one their incredibly artistic Sat nite features??!! (( I think Painkiller is more advice to the watchers, than it is a title!! ))

I tell you what, I like the Sat nite flicks… because when there is NOTHING else on, anbd i can’t see my grass to watch it grow, I can turn it on and cringe and laugh!!

Yeah, kind of an unintentional MST3K. :-)

I’ve followed Michelle Ryan’s career from the soap opera Eastenders in UK to various appearances on TV dramas and films, most notably “Jekyll” & “I Want Candy”. The range of roles she has played demonstates she is a VERY accomplished actress and has the talent and charisma to become a major talent on both sides of the Atlantic. Can’t wait to see her in Bionic Woman but regretably cannot receive NBC in UK. Can anyone comnnected with the NBC network advise when or if the pilot episodes will be screened in UK?
