Jon Favreau has announced that we will finally be getting the first official trailer for Iron Man on TV on September 10th and online on the 11th.
“For those of you who have been Jonesing to see the Comic Con footage, we now an official teaser trailer that incorporates much of the same imagery. Paramount is debuting the piece in its entirety across the Viacom Network’s highest rated programs. The first appearance will be immediately before ‘The Hills’ on MTV on 9/10.”
“A hi-res version will appear on Apple.com/trailers on 9/11 for those of you who, for whatever reason, choose not to TiVo ‘The Hills.’”

So it seems that the Comic-Con-only cut will indeed end up having been only for the stalwart fans who trekked out to San Diego, and that this will instead be a “real” trailer using a lot of the same footage.
I’ve never even heard of the MTV series The Hill, but I can tell you that I will be setting my Tivo to record it on the 10th starting about 5 minutes early because:
A. I want to see the trailer as soon as possible.
B. I want to watch it on a big screen TV.
C. I want to watch it on a big screen TV over and over.
Of course I’ll post up a link to it here at ScreenRant.com as soon as it’s online over at Apple’s trailer section!

For a May release, now is about as good a time as any to start building the hype and to introduce Iron Man to people who aren’t shellheads!
PRAIZE JESUS! Finally! I’ve waited literally YEARS to see this! I unfortunately only have an old fashioned VCR and no Tivo,but I look forward to watching AND taping this,and turning it up really,REALLY loud! Only 3 more days!
Hey Vic, I don’t know if it is a different schedule where you are but my online guide has “The Hills” scheduled 6 times on the 10th although there are 2 half hour segments together 3 times during the day. You might check to be sure you are fully covered.,…

Only one more day seperates us….
WOW!! Finally, I have it! Set the dvr to record all showings of “The Hills” from 2 am to 9:30 pm …. and yes, at about 9:45 there it was. At last! It was awesome! Some new material … not as long as the ComicCon treat but with a few new scenes.
And Downey is so awesome…just can’t wait to see it all … the whole 9 yards! ha ha ….. only 7 months, 24 days to go. I keep telling myself it will be here before we know it…..

Actually, I am just learning my way around the comic world but I am a long time Downey fan. So exciting to see him as Super Hero IM … he’s always been my super hero! :-}
