I wonder how many Indy fans will go see Spiderwick now just for the trailer…doesn’t seem like there’d be a ton of crossover, but I guess they know their audience…?

Chris over at Movie Marketing Madness wrote about that - how they’re targeting the parents old enough to have kids that will enjoy “Spiderwick.”

Anyone that pays movie ticket prices JUST to see a trailer has wayyyyy to much disposable income. If you really need to do something with that cash burning a hole in your pocket, send it to me. :P

I guess I never thought of Indy’s target audience as being people old enough to have kids. Maybe at this point it is. But I think there are a lot of young Indy fans too old for Spiderwick; maybe they’re just not significant enough marketing-wise.

I think the primary target audience is those old enough to have seen the first three on the big screen. :-)
