That’s certainly more promising than something written by J.J. Abrams and helmed by McG, but people haven’t forgotten the “white bread” feel of the first two Superman movies. (The rest of the series was garbage, as far as I’m concerned.) The only real complaint I would have about Bryan Singer is that he concentrates heavily on character development, and not enough on action. (This is a superhero movie, after all.) But then again, Sam Raimi did essentially the same thing in the Spiderman movies, so that may work well.

Of course one needs action in a movie of this type, but action without character development = boring.

If you don’t care about the hero (or hate the villain) the coolest action sequence in the world will feel empty.

I wonder if superman v will actually be called superman v or if they will go in the direction that the new batman has gone, such as superman reborn or superman lives, etc…..

I’m pretty sure they won’t call it “5″ so as to differentiate it from the existing films. Like you said, same as with Batman.

And thank goodness for that!

I don’t know about that. A title like Superman 5: Superman Saves the Trees would be pretty sweet.
