I think the choice of Purefoy will energize this
great fictional detective figure. Charteris created this character in 1928. Looking forward to this series.

I have only a vague memory of the original show back in the 60s, but I remember that I liked it. :-)

There was also a british tv show starring Ian Ogilvy that was pretty good.
