Please God, no. No Seth Rogen in tights. Bad enough we had to see his bare butt in Knocked Up. I honestly don’t know why people think this guy is so funny. He’s had some good lines in mediocre movies (Superbad, Knocked Up), but I don’t find him all that.

I for one, do NOT like the idea of a Green Hornet comedy. It’s not quite as bad as Jack Black as Green Lantern, but it’s up there.

I can’t say that I am to familiar with “The Green Hornet.” Hmmm, seems there are a lot of “Green” superhero types. Lantern, Arrow and Hornet…

I can understand doing a Green Hornet movie, but Rogen?? Seriously?? They’d be better off with Steve Carrell. He’s got that look more than Rogen does.

I think they’ll do a good job and show their talent. They’ll make it a serious movie with humourous dialogue, like ALL comic movies really.

I altho think Seth will lose some weight for the role.

I have of faith in these guys because they aren’t executive fools, they’re down to earth guys who know what the people and fans really want

Word is their will be a comedy aspect to it with Hornet and Kato, I don’t think it’s going to be slap stick. The action/fighting will be played straight.

Who’ll play Kato.. well, there are a few options.

Donnie Yen is an obvious choice as his kungfu ass-kicking quotient is off the scale.

Colin Chou is another good martial artist who should be able to play Kato well.

Let’s not forget Mark Dacascos, too. He’s got the looks, the physique and the skills to be a great action star. Too bad he’s stuck in B-movies all the time.

No Jet Li and Jackie Chan for Kato, please.

Hollywood is foisting another Will Farrell exhibitionist on us. He who loves to disrobe. I’ve seen him rip his clothing off on Conan O’Brien’s show to the point of wearing pixie leprauchan (sp?) loin cloth.

patricia’s right, in the original series he wore these tasteful suits and trench coats. He was a normal person, no super powers. Like Batman he had some cool gadgets a sherlock holmes like intellect and a just as awesome kick-yo-butt partner!

For those who have had no exposure to the Green Hornet and Kato, the link below is a good short fan film based on the characters and it stars the excellent martial artists Manu Lanzi and Patrick Vo.

The Green Hornet film should be at least as good as this. With Seth Rogen as Britt Reid, I cannot see how that will be even remotely possible.

Come on! Seth Rogen has been saying OVER AND OVER again that the movie is SERIOUS, it’s going to be an ACTION MOVIE - NOT a comedy! (Though I doubt there won’t be SOME humor - hell, even The Dark Knight trailers showed some funny lines: “Any psycho boyfriends I should know about?” “You have NO idea…”)

All in all, I think Rogen will get into shape, and that he will not have to wear spandex, Patricia pointed out. Also, Stephen Chow is Rogen’s number 1 choice, FYI/

Well you can’t really blame people for being skeptical. What serious role has Rogen done to date?
