I’m also excited about Craig, although anything new would have been welcome after Die Another Day; it just seemed terribly derivative.

I’m having trouble hearing what Judi Dench is saying, though, in her second line. Is it just me, or is she using the f-word? So much for the green “approved for all audiences” screen.

I also agree Vic, that what seems appealing about Craig is recalling of Connery’s ruggedness. When people talk about Bond they talk about suave and sophisticated, but I think one of the things that made Connery work so well was that he brought a grittiness to the role. His successors lacked this quality.

Yeah, I feel kinda silly now. They wouldn’t go that far with the new Bond anyway- it’s grittier, but still PG-13.

My family can’t get over Craig’s hair. Especially in the final “Craig’s officially the new bond” shot at the casino table. I don’t really have a problem with it, but my mom didn’t know what to make of it.

Hair thing doesn’t bug me at all. I’m actually looking forward to this. Looks like a throwback to the first generation of Bond flicks, and that’s a good thing.
