The latest trailer for the upcoming film Fantastic Four is available at Apple.com and I have to say it’s the best of the bunch. It’s the first one that actually shows the tiniest bit of depth as opposed to a low cleavage, snappy dialogue, special effects bonanza of a movie.
I’m still riding the high from having seen Batman Begins, so I’m in a good mood and I’ll be optimistic about FF. For now. 
Of course Fantastic Four will be completely different in tone from “Begins” (as it should be) but it remains to be seen if it will manage to make us actually care what happens to the characters. Avi Arad keeps proclaiming that there won’t be a dry eye in the house by the end of the movie, but I’ll believe that when I see it.
Summer has arrived… onward!

Not a dry eye in the house?! Whatever Arad is smoking, I’m pretty sure it’s against Marvel policy.
For me, the biggest red flag about this movie is Jessica Alba. She’s a hottie, no doubt, but the poor girl couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag.

Jessica Alba can’t act?!? You must have missed her role in Sin City. Take it from me, she was COMPLTELY convincing dancing on that stage. I had absolutely no trouble believing it.
Seriously though, I’ve always been an Alba fan. I thought she even made Dark Angel enjoyable, even when the scripts were falling apart. Yes, I was enjoying her acting, so I respectively disagree with your assesment of her talent.
Alfredo’s right though, they don’t look a thing alike. I wish I could chalk it up to the cosmic rays fundamentally altering their DNA…

Alba was the worst thing in FF frankly. A better screenplay, a couple of better actors (Alba can’t act, Gruffod was miscast), and the movie would’ve risen above mediocre.
Alba’s such a sucky actress that she refused to have any nude scenes in Sin City. SHE WAS PLAYING A STRIPPER FOR CHRISSAKES! Carla Cugino didn’t shirk the source material, and she’s 1,000 times more talented than Alba. DARKANGEL was a pile of crap, even the TnA factor couldn’t save it.
Not much on my mind right now, but it’s not important. I’ve just been letting everything happen without me. I just don’t have anything to say right now.
