I’m still just floored by this announcement…

Why? Don’t you like the choice?

I think he can totally pull it off. After seeing him as the soft spoken character in “The Illusionist” (which was a VERY boring movie, BTW) I think he’ll fit right into the role.

Edward Norton is a very talented actor. I honestly think he’s one of the best male actors of today. Granted Eric Bana was good, but I think Norton can be just as good if not better.

I think I may actually prefer Norton to Bana in the role. I’m a big fan of his as well.

Oh, no, no, no… I know that Edward Norton can pull it off. I just never saw this coming from a million miles away. If you had told me a week ago that Edward Norton would star in a superhero movie, any superhero movie, someday, I would have laughed. It just doesn’t seem like something he’d do.

Now that a day has passed, of course I’m going to be looking forward to this. Norton is one of my favorite actors ever, I’ve seen all of his films, so yeah… It will just take some time for me to get used to the idea!

Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah, it does seem like something whacky for him, doesn’t it? Maybe he’s in the mood for something a bit lighter? Then again, Bruce Banner, even in a “fun” Hulk movie is still a downer of a role.

Ed Norton is a great choice for the Hulk.I
I applaud this decision. He’ll play Doc Banner as
he was meant to be played;a quiet, kinda mousey
doctor who’ll need the Hulk to defend himself.
Not like Eric Bana, who seems to look more like he
could take care of himself in a fight.

Heh… did you ever see the movie “American History X”? That’ll change your mind about Norton being “mousey.”

Hulk smash box-office!
Not!

The problem with the Hulk is not an actor or actor’s issue. The problem with the Hulk was the Hulk. Fun Comic BAD for the Big Screen. The movie was 70% cartoon, Voice over’s, and just bad writing. I don’t think that The Hulk even has the strength to pull this movie out of the CRAPER!!!!

No son,the problem with that movie was everything. From the casting decision to the script to the director to the Hulk’s size, even the music was bad!! Those were some of the big problems with it. This new movie sounds like they’re actually going to get it right this time.

Vic,I never did see the movie American History X. And I did not mean that Ed Norton himself was “mousey” but meant that he’ll play Doc Banner the right way.

Ed Norton is one of the best screen actors of our time, but even with all the best ingredients you can still make a crapy plate of food..FYI his best performance wasn’t in American History X; it was in Primal Fear. All I’m saying is The Hulk, going from book to screen is more then likely going to be hokey no matter who’s in it, or direct’s it..

We’ll see. It’s not like there haven’t been other sucsessful versions of the Hulk in mediums other than comic books before,so we’ll see. I really think they can set the Hulk back on track with this one. But if you don’t like the character, there simply is no hope for you then……

Not what I’m saying. I digg the Hulk. I’ve read the comic for years. I’m just saying that some characters are best left in print…

KEL said,

Hulk be left in print? Nay,I say!! Today is the best time for a Hulk movie with all the special effects we have it could be great! Not that there aren’t other comic book characters more screen worthy than the Hulk, but he really should get a good big screen version that reverences the comics and I think this might be it.

They said the same thing about Star Wars 1,2, & 3. How Bout Them Graphic’s.

The special FX in those films are very good.

I didn’t mean that the Hulk film should just be about explosions and fighting and car chases and stuff-what I meant was that if they get a good script(which,I think they do)we have the tecnology to make a visually stunning movie.
