I don’t think Diary of the Dead has opened wide or even semi-wide yet, and now there’s talk of a part 2? I’ve heard a LOT of mixed reactions to the first one, but I haven’t seen it, so I don’t want to pass judgment, but from what I gather, part one is independently financed, and is being distributed by the beleaguered Weinstein Company. (Weinstein’s have had a bunch of bombs after leaving Miramax.)
Anyway, word is of a sequel, and I have no idea what it’s about. And there’s a poster, too.

I believe Diary of the Dead will be out in Febuary. I’ve read mix things too, but it’s a Romero zombie movie and I will watch it.
From what I read the sequel is suppose to pick up right at the end of Diary, taking place on an island. And it’s going to be done independently too.
