It would be more logical if the movie version is shown in the comics as a precursor to the pre-Extremis and current Extremis armors.. perhaps in a backstory to re-introduce Iron Monger into the current Iron Man storyline

It would certainly fit in there. The movie armor is not nearly as powerful as the Extremis armor, and Warren Ellis certainly dialed down the capabilities of the pre-Extremis armor in the early issues of his Iron Man re-launch.

Agreed. Also read Mandarin is trying to use the Extremis formula to control his rings. Interesting thought he already had vast control over them already. Should be interesting.
P.S.
That rendering is fantastic and hope that Jon Fav uses the Extremis formula in the third film.

Oh man… I hadn’t thought of that idea! That would be quite the evolution of the character on-screen.

Actually, the version in the middle is mostly my artwork, based off of Adi’s armor designs.

Scott,

I’ve sent you an email concerning assigning credit for the artwork.

Nice to have you here!

to mr scott,i’m really happy that the final choice of armor chosen for the movie was based off your artwork.reason, well conceptually speaking imho,it makes the armour much more believable to be included in the movie n the whole streamlined aspect of it makes it look very stealth like, which rocks imo;p
