I will repeat my mantra: This movie will seriously kick ass.
Words that spring to mind after viewing the trailer: Epic, serious, dark, real.
Especially in light of the recent Catwoman travesty, Batman Begins will be Warner Brother’s redemption.
Summer, 2005.
Revenge of the… what?
Heh.

I’m sold… Let’s start a line.
Not bad… not bad at all. A good script and some good acting will seal the deal for me.

Christopher Nolan’s film Memento is the main reason I have confidence in Batman Begins. I didn’t see Insomnia, was that up to par?

I just saw Insomnia today out of curiosity. It was pretty formulaic in spots (including the ending), but it was really well done overall. The character development was excellent, and the flow of the movie kept me interested. The storyline is unique in the sense that it’s not really a “whodunnit,” since the identity of the killer is established long before the end of the movie. The storyline becomes much more complicated, but I’ll leave it at that for people who want to see it for themselves (which I recommend). It struck me as the kind of movie Clint Eastwood wishes he could direct, but his movies tend to ramble on for too long, and the endings to most of his movies are unsatisfying.
Bottom line, from the grand total of two movies that I’ve seen from Nolan, he’s a very good director regardless of the movie, but when he’s involved in writing the script (which he wasn’t for Insomnia), it makes for an even better movie.

And it’s early enough in his career that he doesn’t have to worry about topping himself, like M. Night Shyamalan.
