At least the American Idol finale was only two hours long... It's easy to say it now, but I was thinking almost a month ago that Kelly would most likely win. To me, he and Kevin were the only finalists who didn't come across as either idiotic or out of control. During the final interview, I thought Jennifer was going to bust out an AK-47 and start mowing people down. Trump owes a huge debt of gratitude (if not more than that) to Burnett. He seems to be much more successful in showbiz than real estate. (His casino business is barely clinging to life.) I was surprised to hear him talk a little trash about Kelly's military experience. (Trump said he wasn't sure that being in the military was good preparation for the working world, which is absolutely wrong.) Mark Burnett is former military, so I'm sure he didn't appreciate that kind of talk. Personally, I'll be shocked if Trump's third Apprentice ™ doesn't have a college degree. He seems to feel very strongly about that. (You'll recall that Trump and his staff gave Bill Rancic a hard time last season because his educational background was less prestigious than Kwame's.)
