A new casting call for Ant-Man and the Wasp hints at a possible connection between the setting for the film and Avengers 4. If both films are shot at the same location, it could indicate that the plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp could be directly connected to the events that take place in the new Avengers movies.

Ant-Man and the Wasp, which began production this week with many of its scenes filming in Atlanta, sent out a casting notice that calls for "Asian looking school kids" who will film scenes between August 5 and August 7 (hat tip Omega Underground). The casting call requests that the children be between the ages of 9 and 10.

The inclusion of Asian schoolchildren could suggest that the film will contain scenes shot in an Asian country. Even though Avengers 4 is shooting in Japan, the news could simply be regarded as a coincidence since Marvel Studios has made us of other Asian locations in the past, including China and South Korea.

However, a connection between the two is far from improbable. Marvel has continued to hype on the idea of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 being huge in scale. Also, Ant-Man and the Wasp wouldn't be the first film to have its story connected to Avengers 4: Amy Pascal confirmed that Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will take place just minutes after the end of the film. This leads fans to ponder the impact Avengers 4 will have on the wall-crawler. If Avengers 4 is as big as Marvel claims it is, it's not hard to imagine that the characters of Ant-Man and the Wasp will be similarly affected.

Regarding the chronology of the films, Avengers: Infinity War will release first, followed by Ant-Man and the Wasp later that year, and finally Avengers 4 in 2019. Though not seen in the poster, Ant-Man could appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but his role has yet to be confirmed. What we do know is that the Wasp won't debut until Ant-Man and the Wasp, and that the duo will be joining the action in Avengers 4. Could Ant-Man and the Wasp end with the pair in Japan, with Avengers 4 picking up where the characters left off?

As for their reasons for being in Japan or any other Asian location, the only clue can be found in the age of the children listed in the casting call, which is close to the age of Cassie, Scott Lang's daughter.
