Thank you Shane! Amen! This poor casting must stop before Hollywood confuses and utterly destroys the very foundations of entertainment history. Hey Hollywood, you want to make funny action hero movies perfect for Seth Rogen, Jim Carey or Will Ferrell? Make the Blue Falcon, Plasticman, or Inch High Private Eye. There's plenty of material that was originally written as funny out there. USE IT!

I would suggest the Tick, but they already tried it on TV. I thought it was a great show, but I don't think most people got it.

For those unfamiliar with the Green Hornet and Kato, Click the link below to watch a fantastic short fan film featuring the martial artists Manu Lanzi and Patrick Vo. Or check your local listings for the 60's TV series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee.

Hopefully when they mean "starring" they mean in a role other than the Hornet. I've never been that big a fan of the character, but I'm a fan of comics, so I'd hate to see any character/history get trashed in the wake of Hollywood.

Ah... doesn't this just remind you of those oh-so-wonderful 'Green Lantern' rumours?

Personally, I'd be happy if they just go ahead with this and prove what a crap idea it is. That way, I can get my proper Green Lantern film one day.

I doubt I'd follow 'The Green Hornet' anyway.

Sucks for you fans though, eh? ;o)

Well Variety states that he will "likely star" in the film. On the face of it I agree with Shane - unless they hook Rogen up with a personal trailer and he hits the gym/diet hard for three months. Of course who knows what direction the story may take.

I just hope they're not going for a comedy...

I know, I just worry that they will do it. I did put "potentially" in the title of the article.
