I saw The Birds only 6 months ago. It was creepy. Scarier than almost anything I have seen from recent times.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen this British parody of it or not. From the show Big Train, you’ll probably recognise Simon Pegg.

I agree too, with you Vic and with Tippi. “The Birds” was one of the classic films that has remained very vivid in my memory …. the suspense and heart pounding fear!!! Hitchcock was the master of suspense …. his films are classic. A remake would be insulting!

I have a game I play when I go to the theater and am waiting in line for my ticket.

I look around at all the posters and I guess the ratio of completely new ideas to remakes and sequels combined.

On my last trip, I think the ratio was something like 6 to 1 against originality.

On topic, I agree with you and Tippi. The original was a classic, and a remake is completely unnecessary.

Because that way they wouldn’t be able to cash in on the name and reputation of an extremely well known movie.

Vic, I agree with you and Tippi on this one. I think I’d have a problem watching a Hitchcock remake of such a classic like the Birds. Why not just make a diferent “Bird Attack ” movie with new characters, and call it something else. If it’s good and reminds us abit of Hitchcock’s Birds, I can live with that.
