anna paquin was terrible as rogue, rogue is a southern belle and she does not come close to the character very bad casting.

anna paquin should most definately play as rogue, because she plays her very well. And I think you guys should put the gambit and rogue love scene in the movie because I think it will get everyones attention. I for one would love to watch the romance part in the movie because to me there love is a big part of the x men.

I completely agree! The 90s series had Rogue as a self assured awesome character, but both the movies and the 200 TV series show her as a wimpier version. Also, where is the super strong accent?

I’d love for Anna to be in X-Men: First Class. Infact she is my favorite charater and the reason i watch X-Men. Although it would be nice for some Rogue and Gambit action, i do think they should keep the two seperate. But i look forward to X-Men: First Class and hope Anna will be in it. I will also be hoping for other movies with Rogue…

Why does it matter,Why do you have to make a age difference between Rogue and Gambit they are the only true real couple of the comic everyone one else died are broke up but there love was tested and they came back every time so to the SICK IN THE HEAD writers of these dumb ass stories lines GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE!!!! besides who ever said REMY ETIENNE LEBEAU ever aged anyway??

I totally agree with you Nick Storm should have a bigger role and more to do in the movie after all is she not one of the Leaders of the UNCANNY X Men?? so i say fight on Halle and fight for the other strong women characters in the comic and movies and THANK YOU Ms BERRY for coming back for more STORM roles.

I don’t care any thing about no continuity we the fan of the The X Men comic want and need to see a story line, are even a movie with Rogue and Gambit she is one of the most popular characters in the comic and she deserves to have a story about her and REMY they are the only Couple from the comic to have a real and long lasting relationship so you writers need to go back to the drawing board and come up with something better to make the viewer happy with a romance between Rogue and Gambit the way is should be. PLEASE PEOPLE LETS GET IT TOGETHER!!!!! make the story happen ,the actors have already said that they would be on board make it happen!!!!

I totally agree with you. I think they could have got away with most of the things they got wrong, but they totally stuffed it with Rogue. She is absolutely nothing like the real Rogue from the cartoons who is a much more interesting character and a real woman. Not a plump, confused teen.
I was thinking Anna must have had some really good connections to get that role. haha.

Here’s the thing:

X-Men: First Class can be totally INDEPENDANT if they want more action/drama/adventure.

It’d be totally cool if they actually made any future Origins films on specific characters INDEPENDENT of what they started in the X-Men trilogy.

I don’t see why they can’t have Gambit and Rogue in the same film because let’s all face it, in the X-Men comics anything can happen. Alternate Realities, time travel etc.

They should give Rogue a more kick ass subplot. Or just do a damn X-Men Origins film on her character. With Ms. Marvel, the Brotherhood, battling with the pysches in her mind and facing off with the original X-Men…well, it can be more enjoyable than Wolverine and the X-Men trilogy. She could be on the ‘evil’ side and face the choice if she wants to join with the X-Men. Probably throw in her hero worshipping of Scott Summers in there too.

Yes, yes. Die hard Rogue fan here but can you BLAME me for pimping my favourite character? We all wanna see our awesome Marvel mutants on the big screen.

btw: anyone else think the badass Brotherhood of Mutants should get screen time as well? Like a movie totally dedicated to Magneto recruiting the original members.

I would like to see rogue in more x-men movies. She can be in x-men 4. I don’t think rogue should be in x-men: first class. According to x-men continuity. It wouldn’t make sense for rogue to show up in x-men: first class.

I am a fan of the 90s X-men animated series as well as the comic books and I think Anna Paquin had a HORRIBLE representation of Rogue. She did not come off as the strong beautiful southern belle that Rogue is. I really really really hope they do not ask her to ruin this part again. On the other hand I would love to see a Rogue and Gambit spinoff. The comics create alternate realities all the time so why can't the movies? Besides the movies follow the Ultimate Marvel Universe story line much closer then the original one.
