One player's mashup between Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda has created a Hyrule Dream Island that needs to be experienced by fans of both games, as it's one of the most detailed, elaborate, and true-to-form representations of the latter franchise yet. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a hotbed for fan creations and grand-scale projects since it released, with many creators choosing to interpret their favorite properties through the lens of Tom Nook and friends.

It isn't just video game crossovers that have become popular in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, however. Fans have also been finding success in recreating some of their favorite television shows or movies. Last month, someone put together Paddy's Pub in Animal Crossing, the bar from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, complete with a bird villager that was a stand-in for Sweet Dee. With Avatar: The Last Airbender experiencing something of a renaissance thanks to its addition to Netflix, plenty of talented designers have also tried their hand at merging that world with Animal Crossing, and some of the results have been mind-bending in how accurate they are.

Now, another Animal Crossing: New Horizons creator has unveiled their latest work to the world, and DaegaH's Hyrule Dream Island is a stunner. The creator posted the dream address to the island on their Twitter while showing off the many detailed recreations that populate the Hyrule Dream Island, and there's a lot for The Legend of Zelda fans to unpack. The island features nods to the infamous Lost Woods area alongside characters from the series littering the map, complete with costumes and iconic quotes.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Dream Island even got the trailer treatment from its creator, with the tagline "Isn't it fun when worlds collide?" capping it off. It's hard to argue with that sentiment, too, given the popularity of Animal Crossing's many different mashups and crossovers since March. With the addition of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Dream Islands, aspiring creators have been given even more tools to work with, so it's not like these masterpieces will stop being made any time soon.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Dream Island feels like an even better fit than some of the other equally impressive creations, likely due to both properties coming from Nintendo. With so many convincing remakes populating the game's servers, it feels like there's potential here to have Animal Crossing-centered spin-offs of other mainstream Nintendo titles at some point. At the very least, a few company-made crossovers, like having Kirby join the island as a temporary villager, could have a lot of potential for Nintendo once - or rather, if - Animal Crossing: New Horizons interest finally begins to dwindle down a little.
