Angelina Jolie in New Teaser Trailer as Agent Salt

I love salt, all types of salt really – Sea salt, table salt, rock salt and Evelyn Salt. Not familiar with that last one? She’s next summer’s female action spy played the ever so pouty-lipped Angelina Jolie. At one point, Tom Cruise was rumored to be attached to the Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, The Bone Collector) directed secret double agent yarn but ultimately, Noyce and company decided to go with a more feminine touch. Good move guys!

Jolie has proven time and again that she is the go-to woman in Hollywood for lead female action roles. Say what you want about the Tomb Raider movie, but as Lara Croft there can be no other woman playing the part. Same goes for her roles in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and last summer’s Wanted. In Salt, she appears to be just as convincing while playing a wrongly accused woman on the run.

Salt co-stars Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Agent Winter, and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Redbelt, Serenity) that IMDB only lists as Peabody. Equilibrium (which is by far my favorite film of all time) script writer Kurt Wimmer penned the Salt script together with Brian Helgeland, who has an impressive resume himself (L.A. Confidential, Payback, Man on Fire).

I think this movie would look a lot better with Tom Cruise instead of Angelina Jolie.. While watching this trailer I couldn't stop picturing Tom as Salt.

hmm..pretty interesting but Tommy would have been a good choice too but he has had to many spy/agent movies out already.you what tho? Tom Cruise would have been a perfect "Cyclops" from the X-men movie!

I've never been that much of a Angelina fanboy,but this looks like it could be a pretty good flick.

hmm, i'm not sure about this, the trailer looks like a load of tripe to me (but hey dont get offended, that's my opinion). and actually if Tom Cruise was salt, to me that would resemble Mission Impossible and Minority Report WAAAY too much. but dont get me started on Jolie, i used to like her, but is it me or she seems so one dimensional these days? same facial expression, bugs me. oh well, guess i'll have to wait and see

I read the script Edwin Salt script and if this Evelyn Salt script is anything like the one I've read it'll be one of the best movies any of yall have ever seen.
