The original cast of the outrageous, generation-defining comedy American Pie will reunite after nearly a ten year absence so that audiences may once again connect and check in with Jim, Michelle, Stifler, Finch and the gang. American Reunion finds the group of misfits well into their respective adult lives and all that that implies: marriage, kids, mortgages and for some, less-than-amazing bosses.

But it is more than the kids of the class of 99' who gained our hearts when the first film was released. No, both Stifler's Mom (the lovely and hilarious Jennifer Coolidge) and Jim's Dad (the wonderful Eugene Levy) are just as indelible as all of the other characters in the series. Coolidge, who was paid scale (roughly $700 a day at the time) for American Pie could never have imaged that her brief appearance would leave an impression on popular culture that would last through the following thirteen years.

The original MILF herself also happens to be an incredibly gifted and well-trained comedian who began her work with the prestigious pipeline of comedy greats, the Groundlings. Coolidge is an actress who repeatedly takes characters that could be easily forgotten toss-aways and creates something both beloved and memorable with them. She enhances her scenes and shines while still supporting the story as a whole.

We had the opportunity to sit down with Coolidge with a group of our fellow female journalists for a very lighthearted discussion about what it means to be a MILF and what she has learned about the benefits and challenges of dating younger men via her experience as the world's most preeminent "cougar" (though we discovered why that word is less apt for what she represents): Stifler's mom.
