American Horror Story veteran Sarah Paulson and singer Lizzo have teamed up in a funny TikTok video to recreate Paulson's iconic moment from season 2, Asylum. Since the long-running series' debut in 2011 with Murder HouseAmerican Horror Story has produced many iconic moments that have made their own way in pop culture history. Paulson is one cast member who has had a variety of memorable scenes, given she has been a starring member of each cast in nine out of the show's current ten seasons.

The award-winning actress has been granted a plethora of dynamic characters within the anthology series by creator Ryan Murphy, which have helped solidified her position as a screen icon. From Asylum's Lana Winters, to Hotel's Hypodermic Sally and Coven's Cordelia Goode, Paulson has regularly been considered as one of the show's most recognizable talents. Since the rise of TikTok's popularity, users have repurposed various audios from American Horror Story to create hilarious videos, and some famous lines from the show have become extremely popular among content creators.

Recently, Lizzo uploaded two hilarious new TikTok videos to the platform, featuring herself alongside Paulson. In the clips, the two stars playfully lip-sync Lana Winters' infamous screams of terror towards Evan Peters' Kit Walker: "Help! The killer is escaping!" One of the videos showcased the two over-exaggerating their facial expressions and movements. Meanwhile, the other showed the two satirically delivering low-key performances of the emotional lines, with Lizzo asking her viewers to choose between the two videos in her captions. The now-famous line of dialogue spoken by Paulson's Asylum character has previously been reported to be one of the most popular sounds available on TikTok. The memes created by this sound began appearing on the app as early as July, and its popularity still has not died down three months later. Previous reports have deduced that over 317,000 videos on the app have utilized the audio clip, with TikTok influencers and celebrities alike helping to revitalise the lines almost a decade since they originally aired on television.

With Paulson actively acknowledging her now extremely internet-famous American Horror Story moments (also doing so previously with co-star Leslie Grossman on an Instagram live), users are lobbying the actress to join TikTok herself. If Paulson sees just how much fans of the show truly appreciate her moments and characters through the virality of Lizzo's latest clips, this may now be more possible than ever. In the meantime, however, audiences must wait in anticipation to see if Paulson will return for American Horror Story season 11, which holds the opportunity for the actress to create even more iconic moments and characters to be mined for viral memes.
