The build-off that fans have been waiting for since American Chopper: The Series began has finally occured. Paul Teutul, Sr. , Paul Teutul, Jr. and Jesse James have all completed their respective bikes for the build-off, and now it’s time for you to decide the winner.
Fresh from a five year break from bike building, Jesse James was quick to attack his competition. With a kiln in tow, the master bike builder began his taunting with a cake delivery to OCC and PJD featuring a certain gender’s genitalia.
Of course, if you caught any of tonight’s episode, you know that the cake is the least of what James had in store. Revealing his true feelings about the Teutuls (with many swear words bleeped out), James mocked their ability to build a bike, though he did admit that it’s difficult to even compare their two styles.
Wanting to build everything he could by hand, James took to his familiar approach to bike building, which resulted in a beautiful chopper (as expected). As James said, “My theme is: bike.” But is it enough to top what Orange County Choppers and Paul Jr. Designs are bringing to the table? And is Jesse correct is saying that it’s impossible to compare the types of bikes he builds with the types of bikes Senior and Junior build?
Next up is Orange County Choppers, with their twist to the build-off. Instead of building a simple bike, OCC decided to go with an electric powered snowmobile-esque trike, which would require the rider to laydown to ride it. Replacing the tires with track, OCC ended up with something that’s more like an off-road vehicle than a bike.
In some ways, one might say that OCC was personifying the “complaints” that James has with their approach to bike building. With flame throwers to complete the build, OCC is ready to be judged, but are expecting to come in last.
Unlike his father, Paul Jr. decided to go with a theme build. Bringing a plane from WWI in the shop, Junior and company took on the task of designing with similar stylings. Proving to use more rivets to build a bike than ever before, Junior’s completed bike is without any type of fancy paint job from Nubby, but the theme is certainly conveyed brilliantly.
And now it’s up to you. You wanted a build-off between Senior, Junior and Jesse James, and now you have to decide who built the best bike by visiting the voting page on Discovery (and let us know how you voted here, as well).

Maybe Bandit Balls asked JR to build one million airplane bikes hoping that all ww11 air pilots will buy them.The selling feature is the smoke out of the gas tank. Jr gave the look of a shot down airplane very bad poor decision in his attempt. Difference from occ and dj is jr builds theme bikes. Occ and jj build for the average rider they have store fronts and jr has none.
Paul Sr Got what he had coming a swift kick in the butt by his son he treated his flesh and blood like dirt and Paul Sr has his mind so bent on electronic bikes and bike toys to Drag Race???? Know one but stupid speed junkie’s give a crap about non-street legal bikes that cost a fortune to build and the “WANNA BE BIKE” ATV was a waste and maybe a toy for you and Jessie has to put others down to make him seem like he has some self worth. But the whole world is in agreement and I knew long time coming that Paulie was not going to take it anymore and was planning to go on his own because Paul Sr you have a God Complex and It is not to late to change but you better figure out a way to make money because the big jobs are going Paul Jr ways and even if he forgives you he can’t work with you ever again “FACT”! Really didn’t get much into Jessi James because he is a has been.

I submit that their symbiotic relationship enabled both to be successful. Sr created and managed the business and Jr provided the creativity in design. But in the end, Discovery Channel’s American Chopper program is what made both of them – period. Without the show the OCC brand would be just another custom bike shop and there wouldn’t have ever been fame, a world headquarters or even this discussion. Regardless which side you support, who made who simply doesn’t matter any more. Sr’s unending assaults to undermine Jr’s efforts to go on his own has done it’s damage. Though they may someday be on speaking terms, they will never join forces again.
Sr vowed to distroy Jr, and all his on show rhetoric is geared to that end. His distasteful attacks has done the most damage to OCC and is becoming evident in the loss of clients, gimic bikes and less creative designs. The real question is will either have a solvent business after the show comes to an end.
Sr had iron shop before he went full spring into motorcycles. It was Sr ‘s money that made gave Jr’s oppurtunity so let’s put the conspiracy away, Sr didn’t need discovery. He was a self made millionaire before he got into the bikes. Orange county iron works and his pther son runs it that never is on tv.
Not quite. OC Iron works filed for bankruptcy. I doubt he had millions before AC.
That’s correct. When Sr sold it to his other son that has nothing to do with him when was barely solvent. They tried to cheat their creditors by setting up a new company and move assets under it leaving nothing but debts and uncollectable receivables and then filed bankruptcy. They didn’t get away with it. Creditors filed lawsuits and won. Sr wasn’t a millionaire until well into their American Chopper series.
Conspiracy Theory that’s business. Bailed out by who——U.S. government you and I. Plus people think they know what happened. Don’t really have a clue. Say c t a Philadelphia lawyer,isn’t that what everyone wants to be.
Know every aspect and business then the person running it. Take alook at his house it was not the log cabin and most people would want to be in it.
lets put it this way all you JJ haters. i dont know about you but all the so called winner P Jr. did was order parts the only parts P Jr. actually made was a gas tank cover and exhaust everything else he pulled out of a box. i seen JJ pull his bare stock off a trailer and make a bike out of nothing JR and SR have no talent in building motorcycles and are just piggybacking off the success of motorcycle mania 1 thats the only reason they are around. i would actually like to see discovery channel bring JJ back and have a series that you can actually gain knowledge by watching instead of losing brain cells by watching this JR vs SR crap but it keeps the hillbillies entertained so discovery will keep playing it
Paul sr should Not of won the competition ! What the heck really atv tracks ? The bike is way off the track , looks like it came from NASA. Built by someone that don’t know a damn thing about bikes ! Jesse James should have won. I sure as hell would not drive Paul sr’s bike to a real bike event. Anyone that really rides knows Jesse won.
