The relentless promotional material for Sony's upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has culminated in the release of the film's exciting final trailer, along with an OsCorp featurette and early impressions of some extended preview footage. The basic takeaway so far: it's time to raise our expectations.

The film's release is still more than a month away, and what with this marketing deluge - including a featurette on Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy's (the returning Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone) relationship and director Marc Webb's comments about the movie's villains - it's hard to believe that the studio has anything else in store.

Well of course it does. Sony Music Entertainment's Columbia Records label has released the full track listing for The Amazing Spider-Man 2's soundtrack, and you can listen to short samples of all the tracks, courtesy of Amazon (hat tip to CBM).

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack cover

The potential spoilers embedded in a blockbuster release's soundtrack listing have become a sticky issue in recent years, starting with the "Qui-Gon's Funeral" gaffe, a track included on the soundtrack to Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, which spoiled a pretty huge plot point for hardcore fans.

In the years since, some curiously-detailed track listings for movies like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull have provided virtual outlines for the movie's plots, the most recent being the now sort-of-debunked track list that a UK site posted for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which may have included a major spoiler.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Logo Preview Reviews

We've already had some details on the score from Marc Webb, which was composed by Hans Zimmer with The Magnificent Six (Pharrell Williams, Johnny Marr, Michael Einziger, Junkie XL, Andrew Kawczynski, and Steve Mazzaro) and how the film will include a new song by Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell and Hans Zimmer called “It’s On Again.”

While this list of track titles does seem pretty innocuous , between this and the extended preview footage we've seen, there are certain titles which appear to telegraph certain plot points. Here's the full track list for the soundtrack to The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

Disc 1

1. I'm Electro

2. There He Is

3. I'm Spider-Man

4. My Enemy

5. Ground Rules

6. Look at Me

7. Special Project

8. You Need Me

9. So Much Anger

10. I'm Moving to England

11. I'm Goblin

12. Let Her Go

13. You're My Boy

14. I Need to Know

15. Sum Total

16. I Chose You

17. We're Best Friends

18. Still Crazy

19. The Rest of My Life

20. You're That Spider Guy

Disc 2

1. The Electro Suite

2. Harry's Suite

3. Cold Way

4. No Place Like Home

5. It's On Again

6. Song for Zula

7. That's My Man

8. Here

9. Honest

10. Within the Web (First Day Jam)

11. Electro Remix

Disc 2 seems to mostly contain standalone tracks, like "It's On Again," "Song for Zula" by Phosphorescent, "Here" by Pharrell Williams, "That's My Man" by Liz and "Honest" by The Neighborhood. The first disc has the rough overview of the film's storyline, and while they're vague enough to squelch any fan ire, let's zero in a few track titles which appear to hint at some of the film's mysteries.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Final Trailers

The track order may or may not point to certain reveals: the disc opens with "I'm Electro," referring to the character portrayed by Jaime Foxx - this points toward Max Dillon's transformation into the electricity-powered supervillain early on in the film.

Further on, "Special Project" could allude to something kept hidden by OsCorp while "I'm Moving to England" is possibly the most specific title on the list. The midway placing of "I'm Goblin" hints at a similar timing for that character's appearance, and "You're My Boy" just might be Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) talking to his son Harry (Dane DeHaane).

The combination of Zimmer - whose iconic scores for Man of Steel and Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy redefined how superhero movies can sound - and The Magnificent Six has led to some intriguing teases of The Amazing Spider-Man 2's theme. We've already heard the score's propulsive, kinetic quality in the film's trailers, and this extended sampling should tide over die hard fans ahead of the movie's release.

What do you think of the score so far? Let us know in the comments.
