Alien: Covenant Funko Pop! figures have been revealed ahead of their June release. Funko's super-popular figures have become perhaps the most instantly recognizable pop culture collectibles in recent memory. The highly stylized vinyl collectible figures have used their distinctive look to transform iconic characters from movies, television, and even sports. Their movie collectibles range from Marvel heroes and villains to characters from comedies and animated movies.

Funko Pop! figures also extend to monsters and iconic horror villains like Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees. The Alien movie franchise is not exempt from getting a Funko Pop! makeover, as characters from previous installments in the series have become vinyl collectibles. Ridley Scott's return to the director's chair for Alien: Covenant has brought a new batch of characters, plus the famous Xenomorph creatures - and they're now part of the latest Funko Pop! collection.

The official Funko blog revealed on Wednesday the company's new series of Funko Pop! vinyl collectibles inspired by Alien: Covenant. The figures are expected to be released in June. They include two different Xenomorph figures, one of which is covered in green blood and will be sold exclusively at GameStop locations. There are also figures of Michael Fassbender's android David and Katherine Waterston's Daniels, both of which are expected to play major roles in the new movie. Interestingly enough, there's also a Funko Pop! figure of Oram (Billy Crudup) that will be available exclusively at Hot Topic. The figure is being clutched by a facehugger, which could be seen lunging at Oram in the Alien: Covenant trailer. It's becoming clearer that, with Oram featured along with Daniels, David, and a Xenomorph, the character's encounter with a facehugger will not be a mere throwaway scene. Like the Nostromo crew with John Hurt's Kane in the original Alien, the Covenant crew may not be able to rescue Oram from the facehugger, either.

Longtime fans of the franchise will be excited to see these figures, if only to know that a facehugger will wreak havoc on another major character. It should come as no surprise that Daniels and David became Funko Pop! figures as well. Iconic characters from previous installments in the franchise like Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and the Queen Xenomorph have also been transformed into Funko Pop! figures in the past, and collectors of the brand will likely want to get their hands on this collection as well.

Of course, it remains to be seen how well Alien: Covenant stands up to the rest of the franchise. Having Scott behind the cameras is certainly a great sign for the movie and the direction of the franchise as a whole, but Covenant will also want to avoid being an Alien retread. With Covenant out on May 19, fans will know how badly they want these Funko Pop! figures by the time they come arrive in June.
