the last airbender prince zuko poster The Last Airbender: Character Posters & Trailer Date Confirmed

Again, note the details in the background which present some of the Fire Nation war ships. I dig the posters and I’m excited to see the other characters in costume and what the bending powers look like in live-action.

In addition to these official promo sheets, we finally have the unsurprising confirmation from producer Frank Marshall that the full trailer for The Last Airbender will in fact come attached to Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief which opens February 12th, just over two weeks away.

The Last Airbender is one of Screen Rant’s top 20 most anticipated films of 2010 and one of my personal top 5 must-see movies of the year.

What do you think of the posters and will you check out Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief just for the trailer?

The Last Airbender glides into theaters July 2, 2010.

  1. Okay i know there has been alot of verbal tension, what with the racial casting choices of this movie and all, And i dont care about any of that, But im sorry, THESE POSTERS LOOK GREAT.. BADASS.. PERFECT.. ON POINT.. and i cant wait to see this movie.. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what ive seen so far, between the teaser trailer, and these character posters I have a new found Childish Excitement Growing, Prince Zuko's poster is Perfect, The fire background looks Awesome.. Cant wait for the trailer and the movie

  2. loved the cartoon – my then 6-year-old son and I watched them together every day. I'm very excited to see what M. Night does with the story, and the posters are fabulous.

  3. they look prett cool, i like how instead of making the arrow on aangs head all blue its a bunch of swirly symbols, adds a realistic look to the character.

im a big fan of avatar (airbender) and all i hope for it that they dont ruin the name, great anime series and awesome action to, lets hope the movie is just as good

  4. As am I Trish… however there is a special place in hell reserved for Mr. Night if he messes this up….

  5. Well I guess I will be seeing Percy… :D

  6. As soon as I saw these posters it just reminded me of the recent Dragonball movie. Luckily I'm not a Last Airbender or Dragonball fan, so I won't be the one getting disappointed.

  7. This already looks 1000% times better than Dragonball Evolution and I am a Dragonball and DBZ fan. The cartoon was an epic story with great voice-acting (by kids I might add) and fun, well-choreographed action scenes.

  8. yes! this actually looks bad ass! im a HUGE fan, this is my favorite cartoon series:) but im still gonna see this movie with REALLY low expectations and hope for the best.

  9. I can't wait to see Toph!!!

  10. So does Prince Zuko have the power of fire? I ask this because on the poster it looks like he does.

  11. It is more of an ability to manipulate fire than a power. IMO.

  12. From the way it looks, the movie is only going to be an adaption of the first book, which sadly doesn't include Toph. I guess if all goes well we may be getting a trilogy.

  13. I only watched the cartoon once or twice, but from what I've seen this was about what I was hoping for. Looking forward to this movie.

  14. I've watched the whole series from start to finish.. as an avid Avatar fan I've very excited for this movie. From the teaser and the posters it's already better than DBZ so that's enough about that. It looks beautiful and epic. My only concern, or hope rather, is that they are able to capture some of the lighter moments of Avatar: The Last Airbender.. because there were a lot of great moments.

  15. I didnt know about the racial thing, huh interesting. Course lately everything has been racial.

  16. Not sure why this reminded you of Dragonball at all.
Also, wouldn't hurt to watch something as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender.
