Movie, TV and comic book fans alike have reveled in the nonstop excitement of Comic-Con 2013 for nearly three days, but the fun isn't over yet. In fact, for some, it's just getting started.

On Friday, lucky attendees got sneak peeks at footage and trailers from several highly-anticipated film projects and TV shows - including Robocop, The Walking Dead season 4 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - but Friday's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel took things to the next level by unveiling the pilot episode in its entirety.

Unfortunately, those who were not in ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center on Friday will have to wait to see the pilot until the show premieres on September 24th on ABC, but luckily, we do have footage of the entire panel session to share with those who couldn't be on hand. Check it out above.

Sporting a "Coulson Lives" t-shirt, Marvel's Head of Television, Jeph Loeb, kicked things off by introducing the panel - which consisted of writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Trancharoen; producer Jeffery Bell; cast members Elizabeth Henstridge, Ian De Caestecker, Chloe Bennet, Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen and Clark Gregg; and creator Joss Whedon - before fielding a few questions.

One of those questions directly asked Joss Whedon to show a clip and he responded with: "We can't show you a clip. We're just going to show you the episode."

Sadly, we haven't seen the pilot yet either, but the response has been fairly positive from those who have. Our friends over at Slash Film called the episode "a ton of fun" and said it included moments of "over-the-top action" and "cool futuristic technology."

While the actual panel session was fairly brief, we did get some details about the upcoming series. Here are a few things we learned from the panel:

  • Whedon confirmed that the show will feature new characters previously unseen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • The show is produced with a big budget (at least for TV). Bell even said: “We’re spending way too much money to make the following episode.”
  • Bennet went through six auditions to get the role of Skye.

Of course, there are still many unanswered questions and spoilers that the panel couldn't reveal, including the explanation of Coulson's resurrection. We've already heard that we won't learn how he escaped death in The Avengers in the series premiere, but we're bound to find out at some point down the line. While that plot point is still a mystery, Gregg was at least gracious enough to thank Marvel fans for bringing him and the character back during the panel.
