Marvel’s Agent Carter returns for a second season next week, with ten episodes airing through March 2016 while Marvel’s Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on hiatus. Season 1 of Agent Carter featured Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter of the Strategic Scientific Reserve battling the criminal element - and buffoonish, unsubtle depictions of sexism - in New York City. Season 2 moves the action to Los Angeles and surrounds Peggy with new and familiar faces.

As we've seen in some previous full-length trailers and TV spotsAgent Carter's relocation to L.A. will inject the show with some glitz and glamour, and Agent Carter continues to take down the bad guys with high style and sharp wit. While Season 1 filled in some of the blank spaces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by exploring the origins of the Black Widow programAgent Carter Season 2 will connect to Marvel's upcoming Doctor Strange via a mysterious murder investigation.

Now, a new clip from the season premiere finds Peggy attempting to infiltrate the company called Isodyne Energy with the help of Enver Gjokaj's Daniel Sousa, who gets a receptionist to literally bat her eyes at him. Take a look at the clip above. We also have a series of new high-res stills, (via CBM) which feature the cast's new additions, such as Reggie Austin and Wynn Everett alongside Atwell and the returning Dominic Cooper and James D'Arcy.

While the stills do not give us much to go on, it appears that Isodyne's Dr. Jason Wilkes (Austin) and Howard Stark (Cooper) may end up working together... but that means Stark's ego will have to compete with that of another scientist. The stills also give us a glimpse of what seems to be a confrontation between Agent Carter and Wynn Everett, who plays Whitney Frost/Madame Masque and has been teased as at least one of the season's main villains.

A one-minute clip is not enough to judge an entire premiere episode, but if the first season of Agent Carter suffered from plenty of clunky dialogue, odd pacing and often cartoonish characterizations, we can actually see evidence of all of this within this clip alone. Peggy Carter seems to have an actual Meet Cute with Isodyne's Dr. Jason Wilkes by the end of the clip, which means that he might end up being the new love interest Atwell previously teased for Season 2. The broad and fairly ridiculous way Peggy sneaks into Isodyne could set the tone for the rest of the season, but we'll find out for sure next week.
