    • These being your opinion on what’s still hot?

      • Shidofier – These are their Box Office Battle choices. We track these and are giving away prizes to the top performers around the time of Comic-Con this year.

    • I don’t suppose you saw John Dies At The End?

  4. The Doctor wants to be ginger!

    That is all.

  5. I think they need to wait before doing cross studio franchises. I mean, even though Marvel is doing a decent job with theirs, they still have a lot kinks to work out.

    • So would Deadpool necessarily be Fox’s baby? Poor baby.

      • It is Fox’s.

    • I agree. I love the idea of some of the potential team-ups but it could get really messy – really fast. Everyone was wondering where SHIELD and The Avengers were during Iron Man 3, just imagine if you threw in X-Men, etc too.

That said, as Rob mentioned, I’m sure they’d find a way to explain the separation but… it could still get pretty convoluted.

  6. I agree that adding to an already bloated cast might not be the best idea but I think it’s more of a revolving door roster, not every single guy will be back (Jet Li was only in for 1st action sequence). I think the Expendable 3 would benefit if it was more like Raid Redemption/Dredd plot-wise/action-wise, if part of the movie was like Raid you could have team vs team battle going through levels like a video games boss battles. You could even have half the team in the building, while the other half is trying to get into the building and have a split up of and have various team vs team battles in & out of the building.

The way I feel about Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch is I really don’t care if they are in Avengers 2, I’m more interested in seeing them in X-Men: DOFP just because they fit more in tone with that Universe. Their are so many more characters that deserve to be a bigger priority in Avengers 2 at least more so then Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch but if Fox/Marvel have a deal then it could be interesting to see if the quality of the Fox franchises would go up.

    • The whole Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch thing is pretty weird – for The Avengers 2. I understand how they fit but it’s strange that those two are going to be a major focus over other previously rumored (and more fitting) characters. Whedon made that comment about everyone on the team has mostly “punchy powers” – so I get wanting to add a pair of very different powered characters but there are still plenty of others to choose from. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays-out.

      • The “Punchy Powers” comment he had was true but like you said, so many other characters that could be showcased. What do you think Expendables 3 having a Raid/Dredd storyline?

  7. You have the technology!

  8. Wait! What? Joss can’t use their code names??? That won’t work!

    • Well, it’ll depend on whether or not there actually is a deal behind the scenes being worked out between Fox and Disney. If there is, then we can expect Whedon to have access to whatever elements of the characters he wants. But I agree, if the characters (or even just Quicksilver) appears in X-Men: Days of Future past as the more traditional version and then the character appears in Avengers 2 played by someone else with only certain recognizable aspects of the character, it’d make the choice to include them even more confusing.

    • They can use codenames.

  9. Woah Woah Woah, resident evil 6 was great, resident evil 5 sucked and resident evil 4 was the best.

    • Must be talkin’ game.. since Resident Evil 5 Retribution is the most recent movie. In which case, 5 was great, 4 was a let-down, 3 was the best (though I loved Sienna Guillory’s Jill with black hair).

      • Yeah, I think Cody is talking about the games.

My favorite movie is actually the first one – the atmosphere and tone in that film is pretty great. The other ones are just over the top. I get why people like them but I enjoyed the first one the most.

My favorite recent game (I’ll always love the first three) is probably Resident Evil 4 – the other two really have skewed more actiony (especially Resident Evil 6).

        • I dont know ben, leons campaign in 6 seemed more horror oriented, his was very reminiscent of re2, while Chris’ campaign was more action and reminded me of 5(which was meh) and Jakes’ was very similar to 3, with nemesis replaced by ustanak.

      • Of course Im talking about the games, Ive never liked the movies.

        • I loved RE5. It’s my fave in the series (and Capcom’s most successful).

  10. @ Anthony, just one thing!!!

    Bowties are awesome! ;)

    • Seconded.

  11. I’m disappointed Anthony didn’t say something like…

“We can get a damn Grumpy Cat movie but I can’t get my Ghostbusters 3? WTF?!”

  12. How was the music in After Earth? James Newton Howard always delivers in M. Night movies!

    • On the subject of music, I thought Iron Man 3′s sucked. Won’t be buying THAT soundtrack…

  13. #1 The Internship
    #2 The Purge
    #3 Fast & Furious 6
    #4 Now You See Me
    #5 Star Trek Into Darkness
    #10 The Great Gatsby

  14. Ben, what is it with Mr Outlaws mike. It sounds like he is broadcasting from inside a garbage can, or a toilet bowl. Kofi has a great deal of good to say about films, and is very knowledgeable, but he destroys the production values of the podcast by insisting on using a speaker phone. I can’t understand half of what he says. Use a microphone like everyone else Outlaw, or give up the podcast Mr Premadana.

    • I have no trouble understanding everything he says. His audio is not the best but it’s fine. Perhaps you are in need of better speakers? ;)

Besides, I’d rather would put up with Kofi’s input in poor audio quality than missing out on him completely, so your last demand doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. ;)

    • We’re actually looking into it this week. Kofi has a good mic, so there may be something off with his settings.

Hopefully we’ll have it cleared up for episode 95.

  15. In the spirit of the random listomania entries, and/or “Box Office Battle choices” -

    1. Iron Man 3
    2. Thor The Dark World
    3. Man of Steel

    7. RIPD
    8. The Lone Ranger
    9. Star Trek Into Darkness
    X. The East

    • The box office battle is for each week ;) Everyone’s guessing which films will be the top five performers (along with a number 10 tie-breaker) at the US box office for the upcoming weekend.

      • Gotcha-man!

      • Bettin’ heavy on The East for X.

        • Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how that film does…
