    • Haha. Maybe Kofi was right.

  2. Listening to it now, too bad all this comic book news broke these last couple days it would’ve been a real news worthy podcast but i’m sure you’ll pick it up on next weeks podcast…

    • Yah, we’ll catch up with some of it for sure. I’m trying to decide if we should do another full episode review for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ or not. There’s a lot to talk about but we should be able to get to some of that comic book stuff during the ‘Magic Mike’ episode.

      • Spider-Man might need a full podcast, i’d like to hear everyone’s take on all the comic book news but you could just go over the news with a full podcast about the week of Ice Age, considering you’ll probably have to do a full podcast on The Dark Knight Rises…

  3. Haha!
I kind of felt bad for you Ben because you had to defend a film you gave 2 1/2 stars.
But I have to agree with Rob & Kofi, this movie was awful. I was close to just walking out but I gave it my all and stayed.
I know this sounds terrible but there was a moment that made me laugh so hard that people turned around and gave me the stink eye. It was when Mary Todd yelled that they were going to be late for the theater. Not a funny moment but it was just thrown in there like they almost forgot to add it in the movie.

    • Yah, well, I have taken worse lashings for sure – my Immortals review lives in infamy!

  8. Why is the download file so big? It’s usually around 90mb for a 2 hour podcast, but other 2 hour podcasts I download are less than 20mb. I’m not bitching.,I’m just curious.

    • We post at 96kbps – a lot of podcasts are 48kbps. Because we have guests on the show that don’t always use headsets (or when we use audio clips), I output at a higher quality to try and help mitigate choppy sound. If it’s a problem for people, we can definitely drop the rate down but it helps keep things a bit clearer.

  9. I would totally pay whatever it cost to watch a movie featuring dinosaurs racing cars. That would be beyond awesome.

  10. Will you guys do video blogs from comic con? That would be sweet. It would be epic if you guys could recreate the 360 shot from the avengers.

    • I second this. I would really like to see a video podcast if that was possible.

      • We’re going to talk about coverage later today. It’s tough because we’re going to be busy with interviews and actual site coverage but we’ll do what we can.

I know Ant is planning on bringing his video camera so, if nothing else, we might be able to post a wrap-up video.

  11. I just wanted you guys to know that I find you really funny… I listened to SRU when I had a filling and it really was helpful To keep my mind off the drill in my mouth…keep doin what you’re doin!

    • Cheers Bman! Glad we could help with the pain!

  12. The Legend Of Korra is One of the Best cartoons out right now the tone of the story is more grown up i promise if you watch the first 3 episodes you will be hooked.

  13. You guys bad mouthing Dredd actually made me want to see it (IN 3D lol). I do hope its surprise hit. Like Han solo said “Never tell me the odds!”

  14. Thank goodness for Anthony, at least one of you recognised this as the fun movie it is. I admit I’ve not read the book, so I can’t argue with the ‘not as good as/not faithful to’ criticisms, but I can’t imagine how a movie called ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ could be any better. I really enjoyed the action set pieces, and the 3D, and even the flotsam and jetsam in many scenes – is that a Bekmambetov signature? It also looks really quite lavish, it certainly didn’t look cheap in anyway.

Sure there are better vampire movies like Near Dark, and Speilberg’s film will no doubt be a better Abraham Lincoln movie, but that’s not the point. This is a mash up and a highly entertaining one too with an excellent cast.

Keep up the great work with the podcasts.

    • Haha… don’t saddle me with that. I have the ability to go see movies without having to look at it with a critical eye. If this were TV show, I may have been harsher on it. Kofi was spot on with all of the messed up editing – I’m just a really lazy viewer. (I didn’t even notice Olivia Munn naked in Magic Mike)

Tried to practice swinging… Hit myself 12 times. Chopped down 0 trees. It’s a start. ;-)

  15. It is in this frame of mind I will explore Bitcoins. The advertised features include being able
to e-mail your friends money, it is based on gold, it offers stability and privacy, etc.
While Yahoo Finance reports: “Bitcoin’s Price Swings Threaten Its Chance of Being a Real Currency.
