Though we won't get the chance to get a full look at any of these shows until the fall, we're still awash in excitement and speculation as Upfront Week delivers unto us a hefty roster of new shows to swoon and speculate over. So far, we've already taken a look at both FOX and NBC's freshman offerings for next season, but now it's time to look at what ABC has to offer.
Though the perception exists that ABC doesn't have nearly the same amount of holes in its schedule as NBC, they do have their fair share of problems and, next season, they're looking to fill their schedule with safe bets like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a Once Upon a Time spin-off, and a few seemingly smart family sitcoms in the vein of Suburgatory and Modern Family, Trophy Wife and The Goldbergs. ABC's fall schedule will also wager on the star power of Rebel Wilson and Christian Slater, and the appeal of kickass law women (ala Castle's Kate Beckett) and another steamy prime time soap.
To help with your quick assessments of each series, we've broken the shows down to give you a better idea of what you can expect. It’s creators’ vision which fuels the heart of the show; producers’ responsibility is to help shape those ideas for television audiences; pilot directors set the visual tone for the entire series and paint the picture that other directors follow.
