    hmm. I like the guy playing him. Hes just too short and skinny to be scary.

    Is this what Indiana Jones is going to look like in film #5? It takes place in 1975, he's senile, lost his nice coat and won't stop wearing gardening tools. Or wait! It's Bruce Willis in Die Hard 8: Dying to be Dead.... Or is this one of Jim Carrey's ghosts from x-mas past characters? Rubber Face indeed.

    Man what's the point of remaking this? I can watch the original films.
    They still hold up kinda,,,
  • joeslankas
    I think a new spin on Freddy with up-to-date special effects sounds pretty cool. I'll check it out.
  • neontiger21
    I'm actually really glad they're remaking this movie. I think Jackie Earle Haley is perfect for this role. And even if the action figure is really similar to the character's appearance, it's not going to be exactly the same. It's going to be grosser/scarier when it's actually a real person and not plastic.

    and @ 790

    I have to respectfully disagree. The effects in the original are super cheesy and I found the acting to be atrocious. That's why I'm excited for a remake.
  • The only one of them worth watching over and over is the first, and "Wes Craven's A New Nightmare". The rest are just boring.

    I don't mind the new look for Krueger, and can't wait to see this film.

    @790

    Money.
  • Huggybear
    Oh, and i thought that Freddie's voice in the trailer was very, very creepy. So, i guess the new Freddy is going to be scary :)
  • jwalka
    i guess when they said "we studied burn victims to get the look right" they werent lying, looks freaky.

    i didnt really like the old ones for the same reasons as neontiger21, the special effects and characters where ridiculous, the only thing i did like was kruegers laugh
  • DreamJunkie
    Should be alright
  • 790
    Damn!
  • ragedoll97
    I agree with u completely
    but unlike them we actually care about the movie being scary than what kind of special effects they have
  • Awzi
    original freddy= evil n scary. new freddy= retarded looking. no way can this be serious or im not watchin.
  • That is still a toy image, it probably wont resemble that at all. Come on, most action figures have little more than a passing resemblance to their actual movie counterparts.

    But another remake, yawn. I remember seeing the original at a very impressionable age, and i had nightmares for weeks! This new Freddy doesnt seem to inspire such chills, might check it out on DVD, most of the gore will be removed from the cinematic cut anyway.
  • Aknot
    @Dr Beckett

    Yup a toy. I was looking at this and people are complaining....over a toy... Yes the RL could be worse but im sure it will look a lot better.

    As for the movie itself it appears to look/follow the original. Except with a little twist of was Freddy REALLY guilty which then would explain his reason for revenge. Meaning he was picked out and assumed he had done wrong, the town acting like a bully and took the law into their onw hands yet were wrong. (see what I did there)
  • Josh
    I love it. People will say he looks like a real burn victim when nobody complained about his look when it was Englund.

    I hate it. It's stupid like everything else that has been put out. It's made by a crappy studio that cashes in on classics by molding them into turds.

    I was looking forward to this movie, but I mean come ON! I thought this was a picture of a HALLOWEEN COSTUME of Freddy! Hopefully he doesn't look like a pink fish looking thing in the real movie. Either the costume is horrible, or it's just the lighting. Actually, I'm sure it is the lighting. but still. Granted the whole movie will most likely be in the dark, but they should try to make him look as much like the original as possible.
  • voorheesfreak
    no, NO its not the lighting, its not any angles or anything! like he said, these guys make accurate sculpts of the faces! THATS WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE IN THE MOVIE!! =O look at his "lips" thats the right face! except the trailer has him in the dark. But damn your right, why go for realistic details in a Freddy movie o_O
