I am absolutely creaming my pants for these pics. I've been a Goon fan for several years, one geeky enough to have squeed in the theater when I spotted an issue of The Goon sitting on a rack in the pharmacy scene of the recent Stephen King adaptation The Mist. I absolutely have to recommend the comics, especially for anyone who loves crazy funny semi-nonsense hullabaloo like the Tick, Sam and Max, Ren and Stimpy, or (dare I say it) old-school Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

This thing's got it all: hilarious hijinks and tough-as-nails mob brawls, a zombie priest, a mad scientist, all manner of monsters out and about, wise and not-so-wise old mystics, beautiful femme fatales and dames in trouble... and one hell of a pairing in the granite rock of a man Goon and Frankie, the most disturbingly lovable sidekick since that aforementioned ultra-violent bunny.

Oh man... I can't wait to see Franky go all "KNIFE TO THE EYE!" on the big screen.
