Chantel Everett of 90 Day Fiancé fame is angry over her husband Pedro Jimeno trying to bring his mother and sister to the United States. On their new show, The Family Chantel, fans watched as the two had a heated argument over his family.

Everett and Jimeno became household names when they starred on season 4 of TLC’s hit show, 90 Day Fiancé. The couple met when Everett was looking for a Spanish tutor and her teacher introduced her to Jimeno via Facebook. Their relationship had a rocky start thanks to Everett keeping her engagement a secret and not telling her parents she was going to be married until a week before the nuptials; but once they were married, the relationship with both extended families did not become any easier as there were fistfights and name-calling for almost every interaction.

The most recent episode of The Family Chantel showed the couple and Chantel’s family going to their first counseling session together to try to mend their past disputes (via: Reality World). During the session, Jimeno made the announcement that he wants to bring his mother and sister to the United States. Before the counseling session, Pedro was shown speaking with an immigration lawyer asking how he would go about the process to bring his family over to live with him permanently. He learned that to start with the process of bringing his family over, he had to be married to a U.S. citizen and living in the U.S. Since Pedro checked these two boxes, all he would have to do is set up an interview with him and his wife. As expected, Pedro became worried that his wife may not want to take part in the process as his mother and sister have never treated her very nicely.

The reaction from Everett to the news was not good. Chantel said she was “so furious that he dropped that bomb in family counseling,” going on to say it was a “betrayal.” To his defense, Jimeno tried to explain that having his family closer would make life better for him as he has felt like he has been mostly alone. Chantel's mother clapped back, saying that he has always had ulterior motives for marrying their daughter and this was the proof.

Pedro had often sent money to his mother and sister back in the Dominican Republic which caused tension with his wife. It will be hard for Chantel to swallow the $7,000 cost it would be to allow Jimeno’s mother into the United States, and there are sure to be many more therapy sessions and drama ahead on The Family Chantel.
