90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers think Steven Johnston is the worst cast member from the franchise after his Tell-All behavior came to light. Over the course of his 90 Day Fiancé stint, Steven has been a walking red flag in his relationship with Alina Shaimardanova, to the point that every episode ended with fans asking her to run back to Russia. The 100 girls, the chat with Masha, and his religious contradictions were all forgiven by Alina when she married him and disappointed everyone. However, the Tell-All that featured his ex-girlfriend Vanessa revealed that Steven hasn’t stopped being a playboy even after his marriage, while he openly made inappropriate comments about his co-stars.
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way reunion turned out to be perhaps the most dramatic episode of the entire season. But it also made fans realize that they won’t be able to handle any more of Steven's shenanigans. Steven started off by making an ageist comment about fan-favorite Kenneth Niedermeier by saying, “I think he looks a little bit older in person than he does on TV.” He then fired an offensive remark towards Evelin Villegas’ clothes, saying it was the first time he’d seen her dress so modestly. He also took a jab at Corey Rathgeber when Steven claimed Evelin’s husband would never be alone because he had Jenny, and later called out Ariela Weinberg for abandoning her husband, Biniyam Shibre, and going to America.
Besides, a pandora’s box of Steven’s misgivings opened during the Tell-All to reveal he has been sexting with nine girls after marrying Alina. And Vanessa also revealed he cheated on her with three Russian girls at once in their short-lived relationship. While watching Steven being exposed, fans recalled him starting off the episode by saying, “I don’t know, I feel like I’m the worst person in this room.” And viewers like @BrowertiKoffah declared, “I think SteVen is the worse guy to even be on the 90-day Fiancé franchise.” Another fan, @NewSeasonTre posted, “Let this be the first and only season we see Steven on #90DayFiancé. Never to be looked at again.”
Fans wrote about feeling physically ill when Steven blamed cheating on Alina on his “urges” that can’t be repressed. Some on the Internet speculated that Steven is eyeing a new 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. But most fans such as @90DayArmy1 have called Steven “the literal worst,” and that says something because the franchise has cursed them with cast members like “big pred and Angela.” Still, fans wouldn’t mind seeing Alina back on their screens, possibly with the next season of 90 Day: The Single Life.
Sadly, despite being visibly embarrassed due to her Mormon husband getting schooled by the entire 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cast, Alina declared that she is going to give him another chance. Alina found out about her husband talking to the nine women after they sent her the chat screenshots. She did expect this to happen even before she moved to Russia and set up the honeytrap. It’s not surprising that Alina has also lost sympathy for sticking with Steven and letting him get away with the physical and emotional cheating. But given the franchise’s history of bringing back the show’s most notorious stars, it won’t be surprising if TLC ropes Steven in for a new torturous season.
