It seems the cat is out of the bag since 90 Day Fiancé star Lana has revealed the status of her relationship with David Murphey. Most fans know that the couple had a somewhat unusual relationship on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. David met Lana on a Ukrainian dating website, and for seven years, he dated her without meeting face to face. Many fans thought that Lana was catfishing him, but she surprised everyone by finally appearing on the show and accepting David's proposal.
The season ended, leaving many 90 Day Fiancé viewers with several questions about David and Lana's engagement and wedding. For months, the couple didn't share a clear response over whether they were still together, and then some fans spotted Lana on another dating site. In May 2021, David shared a much-awaited update on Instagram and revealed that he was still with Lana. The former computer programmer told fans that his blonde beauty was working in Ukraine as a police investigator, and the two were planning to go on a vacation in Cancún. He also said that they were waiting for Lana's tourist visa to be approved by the authorities in the United States.
While David has not posted anything since May 2021, Lana talked about their relationship in a Q&A session on her private Instagram accoutn. One of the questions she received was, "Do you talk with David?" It's obvious why many 90 Day Fiancé fans would want to know that, but Lana's response to this was quite shocking. She gave a one-word answer, saying, "No." The next question was a bit more specific. A different 90 Day Fiancé fan asked Lana, "Are you still with David?" To everyone's surprise, Lana once again wrote, "No," except this time, she added a smiley face with her response.
She answered a few more questions, which revealed more information about her relationship with David. One of her followers asked, "How is everything going in Ukraine with the mandates?" Lana replied, "In practice, nothing new. This is very disappointing." Since Lana is still in Ukraine, it looks like her tourist visa didn't get approved. David also didn't apply for her K-1 visa after their on-screen engagement. While answering another question, Lana said she had not done more "acting" roles after her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé. Her answer contradicted the fact that she was a part of a reality TV show.
It is possible that TLC paid Lana to meet David, or maybe the producers found her look-alike and hired her to progress the story. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans think that David is lonely and gullible, and he was probably getting catfished by a woman who just wanted his money. David may still be talking to someone on the dating site, but Lana has cleared up that she isn't in touch with her 90 Day Fiancé co-star now.
