Yeah, seems a little stupid to me too. They say it was planned like that from the start, to make it more of an event… to me that sounds like bull-dookie. I don’t know why they’re doing this, but a 3 month break isn’t going to do much for a show that likely won’t find it’s legs only 4 episodes in.

The new V is only gonna be a few (4 I thought) episodes, right?
Indeed too much overacting, too much FlashForward (which is really getting ridiculous by the way) and too much Independence Day.
O well, just another new fall of 2009 show that will disappoint.

I will agree with Joshi on one thing,this show should be more sci-fi than human drama,but unfortunately,I don’t think that’s going to be the case.

I remember watching the original series back in the day on NBC,and it was more dramatic than sci-fi,but it did have a good balance between both.I really don’t see this one being any different except for the fact that they (ABC) will drag out the plotline for probably the entire season,or longer,before we really know what’s actually going on.That would be pretty stupid,considering that most of the audience that will be tuning into this show already know what’s going on,assuming that they are going to stick with the main theme or the original series.

What’s with Jesus and Sci Fi lately? First in SGU there’s a Jesus statue in the desert planet, now a falling glass jesus. Even Batlestar Galactica had strong religious motive, although not christianty

Had too much of a Flash Forward feel to it… with the whole “somethings global is happening and these are the reactions of loads of different people who don’t really matter since this is a somewhat ensemble show”.

I don’t know, the reveal of Morenna Baccarin at the end was intriguing and I’ll likely watch the first few episodes, but I really hope this is more sci-fi than human drama. Just my own preference there, if I’m tuning in to find out where these aliens came from and what they want, I really don’t want to have to deal with whether or not that guy ends up proposing to his girlfriend.
