ABC has made available the first 9 1/2 minutes of V and we have it for you here at Screen Rant.

In the video they try to tie into the emotions one might have felt when JFK was shot or on September 11th.  They ask you where were you when these events happened – and where were you this morning.  Meaning, the morning that the visitors arrive.

If you live in California, you might have an issue or two as the ground shakes with the arrival of the ship.  The first of 29 ships that arrive on Earth.

Check it out after the break and let us know what you think!

ABC released this quip alongside the video:

An image of Anna, the leader of the V’s, is projected worldwide as she talks about people joining together.

V premieres on Tuesday, November 7th.

  1. Looks Cool

  2. Lookin’ good so far.

  3. im glad they admit that its just like independence day.

it looks pretty cool, ill check it out.

  4. not a fan of the overacting in that clip…yikes!, they hammed it up

  5. Had too much of a Flash Forward feel to it… with the whole “somethings global is happening and these are the reactions of loads of different people who don’t really matter since this is a somewhat ensemble show”.

I don’t know, the reveal of Morenna Baccarin at the end was intriguing and I’ll likely watch the first few episodes, but I really hope this is more sci-fi than human drama. Just my own preference there, if I’m tuning in to find out where these aliens came from and what they want, I really don’t want to have to deal with whether or not that guy ends up proposing to his girlfriend.

  6. What’s with Jesus and Sci Fi lately? First in SGU there’s a Jesus statue in the desert planet, now a falling glass jesus. Even Batlestar Galactica had strong religious motive, although not christianty

  7. ehh it looks okay

  8. I will agree with Joshi on one thing, this show should be more sci-fi than human drama, but unfortunately,I don’t think that’s going to be the case.

I remember watching the original series back in the day on NBC,and it was more dramatic than sci-fi,but it did have a good balance between both.I really don’t see this one being any different except for the fact that they (ABC) will drag out the plotline for probably the entire season,or longer, before we really know what’s actually going on.That would be pretty stupid, considering that most of the audience that will be tuning into this show already know what’s going on,assuming that they are going to stick with the main theme or the original series.

  9. The new V is only gonna be a few (4 I thought) episodes, right?
Indeed too much overacting, too much FlashForward (which is really getting ridiculous by the way) and too much Independence Day.
O well, just another new fall of 2009 show that will disappoint.

  10. @Rhaemye

13 episodes, but only 4 will be shown in November, the rest will be aired next March.

  11. @ Joshi-WTF???

4 episodes, then they string us along till MARCH?

  12. Yeah, seems a little stupid to me too. They say it was planned like that from the start, to make it more of an event… to me that sounds like bull-dookie. I don’t know why they’re doing this, but a 3 month break isn’t going to do much for a show that likely won’t find it’s legs only 4 episodes in.

  13. If you guys liked this trailer make sure and watch the world premier of “V” on the Scream Awards.
Like Zooakes its on right now! tonight! Check you time zone. Its on at 10pm.

The world premier is total crap btw, I’m anxious to hear your thoughts,,, 8-O
