47 Ronin is a movie adaptation of the legendary Japanese tale about 47 disgraced samurai who venture on a quest against a powerful enemy lord in order to avenge their slain master. At the center of that quest is a half-breed slave named Kai (Keanu Reeves), whose mysterious past may be the key to helping the 47 Ronin win the day, and rescue their master’s daughter from the hands of the enemy.

Reeves leads a cast of esteemed Japanese actors such as Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat) and  Pacific Rim star Rinko Kikuchi; the film is also the debut feature of Ridley Scott protege Carl Rinsch.

47 Ronin will be in theaters everywhere on Christmas Day.

  1. Erm, Kofi… Have you forgotten something?

    • Do you not see a trailer there?

      • nor in the american hustle article..

        • Kill your adblocks gents and you’ll see it.

          • Speaking of ad blocks. I use Google Chrome to troubleshoot codes but whenever I’m SR using Internet Explorer I keep getting this Download Java crap or Flash. It only comes on your site, it also came when I was on a completely unrelated computer elsewhere

          • Meh, I’ll live.

  2. Is this d a video review? I don’t see the score. I’ll look at in at work.

  3. Looks good, hope it does well at the Box Office !

  4. Screen Rant needs to give up. If I disable my add blocker, then I can not read the page. Your adds roam in the middle of all the articles. This is a customer based world and you need to adhere to the customer base. Whom do you wish to please? Advertisers who presure you to do things a certain way and scare off customers? Or the customer who generates hits to your site? In one weeks time I will know your answer, and make my decision on supporting this site or not. Oh, and Kofi, do you really need to be such a jack%$#?

    • Playing the Devi’s Advocate here for a sec………The flip side to that is, since this is a free site, SR has to generate cash flow some way to keep the site up and the writers, well writing.

I’m personally all for them finding ways to generate that income but do agree, when it interferes with my ability to enjoy the site, I will not be inclined to frequent and post on it.

The need to fill in the name/mail fields every time I post has admittedly deterred me a bit already, so forcing me to also endure ads just to experience content might be a tipping point, we will see.

  5. Mongoose, I completely understand your devils advocate ideal. Screen Rant is one of my favorite sites. It is the home page of my browser. I wish they could come up with alternative ways. That cosplay pic’s on the right side of ALL the pages can be removed, or lowered to make room for adds. Or squeeze in the headlines and put adds on the left side of the page. I understand the need for revenue. Some of SR’s writers are great, and the rest are very good. They probably command top dollar in the business.I do not want to stop coming to the site. I also want to apologize if I came on strong. Look at it this way, at least the people at SR now I care about what they do.
