the film needs a true sequel, the idea of a dvd-movie to follow up on this awesonomus film is an insult. disregard sam rami, who has definetly gone down hill in resent times. do they really think that mellisa gorge, ben foster or josh hartnet would ever return if they new that the quality of the first film, in terms od effects, budget and writin material was lost? short answerer: no. dark days and eben and stella are the direct sequels to the original story, keep that. do not waste this perfetly good story franchise with the same dumb move that they did to dusk till dawn. in fact dont make a sequel if it's only going to be direct to dvd. set out to only make three 30 Days movies, build up intrest in the pop-culture society and bring in the "magic $100 million" in an egually dark, yet vividly complex follow-up. then bring closure by having the reoiunion between eben and stella and the trials of being less than human in a world of light and blood. if you cant get Slade then look to Gorge Remero, Len Wiesmen even Alex Poryars, but please DON'T waste time with a sequel such as this

Well I really liked the first one. I thought it was the best Vamp movie out in a very long time. But with direct to DVD sequels.....All you can do is hope for the best and prepare to be angry at the end cause 99.8% of the time they just plan sucks.

I would gladly see this. I loved the comic, but actually thought the story was rather thin to be made into a movie, and when I saw the movie I was very impressed, so I'm gunning for a sequel.

I loved 30 Days of Night and would argue that its a great vampire film. Slade created an atmoshere equal to John Carpenter's The Thing. High praise indeed, but true. A direct to DVD sequel is disappointing to me.
