I think the best way to make a 24 movie work would be to have Jack get caught up in a terrorist attack. Like in the first Die Hard movie, John McClane was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
If they try to “call in” Jack to handle a terrorist situation, it wouldn't fit very well into a 2-hour time frame.

I used to be against this, but lately it's grown on me. The real time would have to go, because there's no way they could solve a terrorist plot in only two hours. But the movie should also focus solely on Jack. Think about it, every episode we get tons of filler from CTU, the President, Jack's family/friends, random people involed with the incidents, and hardly any of it is very necessary.

With all of that stripped from a movie, two hours would be plenty of time to tell a good 24 story.

And I definitely like the idea of Jack heading to London.

The ONLY way I can see a Movie working is using intense real-time “segments”, in other words, real-time 20-30mins here, then a flash/bridge/timer noting a timeshift, then another 20-30 minute “segment”, I think done correctly (and not tring to hide it) this would work. I think after seeing the good & bad in 8 seasons, we can accept this framework. Mike

I think “24″ should definitely have a big screen incarnation. Kiefer started out in movies…he should get back to his roots. I've been reading his biography, “Kiefer Sutherland: Living Dangerously” and I realise now that he is a really hard core guy. He's been to prison!!! And he's been a cowboy! He seems really tough.

The current writer's should let someone else come aboard to breathe some new life into a movie for “24″. Tying it in with a finale or season launch we've always talked about being a brilliant idea and something that would push DVD and season DVD sales.

I'm all for it, just want it to not have so many of the baggage level lines of story that make for tired minutes inside the minute-by-minute show.

I'm such a huge fan of the show, but if the writing gets weak then I don't want the show to continue. I'm amazed that after eight seasons, there's really not one I don't like.

As for a movie, as long as we can keep Jack on the move I'll be fine with it. I really liked him in Africa and this season so far has been great in New York. As for the Europe concept... I hope they limit it to one country. I'm not sure I want to see him train hopping from Germany to France to England.

Personally, I'd like to see him in Prague. What a great city with a fairly neutral background for any plot line.

As long as they keep doing 24 on TV, they can make as many 24 movies for the big screen as they like, but it would be a real shame to see 24 disappear from TV; it's such a unique and brilliant show.
