Seems you and I feel exactly the same when it comes to Emmerich movies. Attention grabbing for about 3 seconds is what I think of him and ALL his work. (I so hope your reading this Roland,,, Brett Ratner laughs at you.) I have more respect for McG or even Pauly Shore. This 2012 film could really be an event , but there just selling out for disaster effects. (That's original). If the producers of "The Day the Earth Stood Still remake" have a clue they will use December 22, 2012 as the day the film begins.
