  1. Another good podcast!

The only upcoming movie I’m truly looking forward to this fall season is The Hobbit.

Interesting choice Ben, for Anthony’s stinger. Milo and Otis? I’ve never seen it. I looked it up. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 80%. And FYI – There is a controversy surrounding the movie that animals WERE harmed during the filming. Supposedly 20 kittens were killed? Don’t know if that’s true……..

  2. I’m Calling BS on Anthony Ocasio he totaly didnt watch VD he skipped over most of the episodes and gave a super crappy review/recap if you loose the box office battle you should take your punishment

    • I think it’s hard with TV shows (especially since Rob mentioned that it took awhile to get into the show) – so I get what Anthony was trying to do. Though, I loved Rob’s tongue-in-cheek response “sounds like a logical way to watch it.”

      • He could have faked it a lot better lol the music box thingy that made that one guy with the teeth fly over the moon that’s how he sounded

    • I’ve got the glow! ;-)

      • Oooooo…….. The Last Dragon! Now that’s some BAD cinema. So bad it’s freaking hilarious.

I’ll match your Last Dragon and raise you with some Monkey King:

        • Hey Hey Last dragon is a classic

        • Last Dragon is a Damnnnnn Cult Classic. I love the music in that movie!

    • ohhh Snap!

  3. 1.The Possession
    2. The Expendables 2
    4.The Bourne Legacy
    10.Premium Rush

  4. For this fall, I’m looking forward to Killing Them Softly, Skyfall, The Hobbit, and Django Unchained.

I might also go see Looper. Lincoln is another one I’ll probably check out. Should be a good season.

Does anyone know if Killing Them Softly is getting a wide release? I know the director’s last film, The Assassination of Jesse James, was only released in 301 theaters. It’d be weird if a Brad Pitt film only gets a limited release like that. Killing Them Softly looks like it might be really cool, so I hope it gets a wide release.

  5. I know I’ll probably get crap for this but the Twilight saga just needs to die and be forgotten. Anyways are you guys really going to do a Green Lantern podcast? I hope so I really want to hear your opinions on it especially Kofi’s.

  6. I’d love to see a mailbag episode. I think that would be pretty cool. September should also see the much hyped Green Lantern podcast see the light of day :D

I really enjoy listening to this podcast. It reminds me so much of movie conversations I have with my friends. I love the casual nature of it and I always look forward to listening to the next episode. Keep up the great work guys!

    • Thanks! Glad you’re still enjoying it.

I really am going to make a concerted effort to get through some mailbags soon.

  7. Why no ASM?

    • We were all just talking about our personal favorites – Amazing Spider-Man was great but I guess it wasn’t anyone’s standout movie of the summer.

  8. I really like the Resident Evil movies and has not been disappointed yet but I totally agree the trailer for RE 5 doesn’t do much for me as much as the others did, it looks like rehashed stuff.

  9. I’ve been hearing about the missing Green Lantern Podcast for a while almost a year I think, you need to post it plus the Transformers podcast as well because you guys keep mentioning it and its probably just you guys going off on the movie but just hearing about it makes me want to hear it…

Also I have to agree about the Dark Knight Rises if you look at it from a blockbuster perspective it very epic, and even from emotional perspective you get attached a Batman’s plight and when Bane picks him up you feel for him and the pit climb with the music swelling was amazing you almost find yourself chanting for him…

Vampire Diaries is more a cross of Twilight & True blood, and Anthony assertion that True blood is a Rave and Vampire Diaries is Cocktail Party is spot on in that True blood its all over the place and Cocktail Party exciting things can happen but its more of a blip then a trend…

Judge Dredd baby and Trouble with the Curve is something i’m looking forward to based on the Eastwood factor, Looper I heard about it and it interested me until I saw the trailer it was underwhelming, which is the exact opposite of Argo cause I saw the trailer and now I’m interested but when I heard about it not so much, and Skyfall is on my must see list and I’m tired of Hobbits…

    • Also Ben thanks for the shout out…

  10. Milo and Otis is great, course it doesnt really matter that its japanese since its only voiceover like homeward bound and was dubbed.
I dont think anthonys heart can handle the adorableness.
Theres a rumor that they went through several kittens though….

  13. @ Hosts
If you had to pick one film to rate highest as the best film(not your favorite) which would you choose?

  14. Hey Guys,

I enjoy listening to your show. I have 1 question though. Why does Kofi keep mentioning Tom Cruise’s adopted son as Tom Cruise’s “black son”? He mentioned it before on an earlier podcast.

If the adopted child was white, would he say Tom Cruise’s “white son”?.

This is not a personal attack. I enjoy the show but I’m just curious why. Or am I being too sensitive because I’m a black guy :-)

  19. First of all, I really want Anthony’s “you lost so you have to watch crap” song to be the theme music for the thoughts on punishments. Seriously. Genius.

Also, just sayin… If I was Anthony, I would totally make Ben watch Oogieloves if I had the chance…that would be hilarious.

Still lovin the podcast…thanks for makin em ;)
