It is becoming a bit of a tradition for the Spike TV Scream Awards to honor popular science fiction shows that have recently gone off the air. Last year the award show reunited the cast of Syfy’s epic space opera Battlestar Galactica. The show even included a replica of a Cylon raider in the tribute, which gave the event a highly appreciated, extra injection of geek love.

This year Spike brings together several of the cast members of ABC’s massively popular Lost; or as we know them, the survivors of Oceanic flight 815.

Cast members that are expected to be in attendance are: Jorge Garcia (Hugo ‘Hurley’ Reyes), Harold Perrineau (Michael Dawson), and Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond Hume). Executive producers Carlton Cuse, and Damon Lindelof are also scheduled to appear. It is likely that additional cast appearances will be announced in the coming days.

As a part of the promotional campaign for the show, Spike has created a new “Dharma Initiative orientation film” which details the scheduled event in true Scream Awards style.

Take a look at the video below for a flavor of what we can expect from the “Farewell Tribute To Lost”, and the awards show itself:

Spike TV’s annual Scream Awards is a fun, lighthearted event honoring the best in sci-fi, fantasy, comics and horror for the year. Traditionally there are lifetime achievement and special recognition awards given out as well. Standard awards include, but are not limited to: The Ultimate Scream, Best Fantasy Actress, and Most Memorable Mutilation.

Also expected to be in attendance at this year’s Scream Awards are Megan Fox, Kristen Stewart, Neve Campbell, and Hayden Panettiere. In addition to all the lovely ladies, Wes Craven himself will be there to present never-before-seen footage from the highly anticipated fourth instillation to the, aptly named, Scream franchise, Scream 4.

The Scream Awards will air on Spike TV on October 19th at 9PM/8C

  1. I just voted ^^

  2. Hang on wait for it, I’ve got something good coming here…

What are the cast of Lost being honoured for? Sucking?

Ha ha, see what I did there?

    • Yes that was brilliant ;)

      • There wasnt any originality though, that was my problem, it was stuff that has been used before. And it was jusy plain old boring 99.9 percent of the time.

    • meh the cast should be given awards for putting up with the writing and story lines… uh… or lack there of.

J&K were not at the top of my list at all. So I dont count them.

      • Aknot, it also seems that only the lesser more unpopular actors from the show even bothering to show up as well.

        • I saw that and (Hugo/Desmond) those were actually fairly popular. I see a lot of people gah gah over Desmond…. I dont know why and dont see it. Hugo on the other hand (especially with his “blog”) was pretty popular with the fans.

Of course you had your Jaters….. That I still laugh at…. no really out loud…

Also it seems that others have not been announced yet. Yeah I can see a “video” call from Jack……

          • LOL

    • I watched the first 3 seasons from the beggining when it first aired, I certainly didnt catch it in the middle, and it has nothing to do with the show being weird at all. I loved Twin Peaks and that gave no answers whatsoever.

I simply didnt care for Lost, I tried watching it, but the characters didnt grab me, the storyline wasnt going anywhere, the acting was just of an ordinary standard.

  3. Ha! I love it when people tend to hate something popular with so much passion. I guess it’s what the “cool kids do”. I love LOST. Say what you must about the ending, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. We see crapfests get pulled after just one season these days. Everything revolves around some romantic endeavor, or at least half the cast have to be young, sexy, and show massive amounts of cleavage for a show to keep itself on air. OR they have to be a group of doctors dealing with drugs, relationships, and the issues of having too many people they’d like to bang in the storeroom with so little time. Boo-hoo. Hey, I don’t like Supernatural but that doesn’t mean the show sucks. LOST is definitely original, it’s one of the better shows ever made, and it deserves the recognition it gets. This is great news.

    • So by your reckoning, just because something is popular, then people arent allowed to hate it?
