We are less than 24 hours away from finding out who the Academy has awarded for excellence in film this year. But with many of you who proclaim the Oscars meaningless, maybe seeing who gets one of those little golden statuettes isn’t all that big of a deal.
Instead, what some of you may be more interested in is seeing who won a Razzie. The Razzies get given out just before the Oscars every year and honor the very worst movies the previous year had to offer. And isn’t it ironic that one of 2009′s biggest money-spinners, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, tops the list of winners/losers?
I won’t keep you in suspense any longer. Here is the 2010 Razzie award winners:

Wow, with Sandra Bullock hotly tipped to win the Oscar for The Blind Side tonight, it’s kind of strange to see her picking up a Razzie for her role in All About Steve. Not that she isn’t deserving of it, or so I’ve heard (luckily I managed to avoid that movie), but wouldn’t it be odd for her to win both an Oscar and a Razzie all in the space of a couple of days? Here’s her hilarious acceptance speech (yes, she actually showed up to collect the award!):
Are you surprised to see Transformers 2 get three Razzies? I realize it was a bad film with more problems than you could probably count but I didn’t think it was bottom of the barrel, worst of the year material myself. I still had some fun with it and can think of a few worse films that I would have “honored” with a Razzie over it (Dragonball: Evolution, The Fourth Kind, Year One…).

I agree. There were a lot more bad movies than Transformers 2 like My Bloody Valentine, 12 Rounds, Jennifer's Body, 2012, all the ones you said, and I'm sure plenty of others. By all means, Transformers 2 should have been nominated, but I don't think it should have won. However, maybe Michael Bay and the producers of the next installment will take note and try to fix the problems in the next movie.

Worst film-Wolverine, so bad I was laughing at it.
Worst Actress-Megan Fox.
Worst Screen Couple-Lebeauf and Megan Fox.
Worst Prequel-Again, Wolverine.
Worst Director-Gavin Hood.
Worst Screenplay-Tough choice. Its a tie between Transformers 2, Wolverine, and DragonBall Evolution.
Worst Actress of the decade-Megan Fox. Hilton shouldn't even be considered an actress.
Really cool that she actually came to pick up the award, and brought the cart full of dvd's. She even had the script with her didn't she?
If I were an actor and won the Razzie i'd pick it up, i'd be honered. Shows you don't take things to serious if you actually accept the award. Though some might say that winning the award also means you need to take acting more seriously.

The Razzies officially lost their credibility for me by NOT giving the Razzie to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It wasn't even nominated, and that's just wrong.
But Dragonball was garbage??? if that's what your referring to! They may have spent their time but they didn't put any effort in, I'm confident that I could do a better job, with no movie making experience.
