Wow, doesnt Grown Ups sound awesome. Kevin James, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and Chris Rock all together in one movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its like all my christmas’s and birthdays come together.
Great review Kofi!!
Thanks
But there is not a lot to be excited about there..now 2011..there will be some huge titles there!!
@ greenknight333
What were you thinking of in 2011? There is Thor and Captain America… What else? Im sure there are loads but my mind has gone blank!
The Book of Eli looks pretty decent and I love post-apocalyptic type movies. And it doesn’t look like there are any zombies in it!
@ DrSamBeckett
Here are a few for 2011:
Under World 4
Spiderman 4
Thor
The Hangover 2
Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom
Green Lantern (YEAH!!!!)
Cars 2
Transformers 3
Harry Potter 8
Captain AMerica
Battle: Los ANgeles
The Adventures of Tin Tin
The Hobbitt (DOUBLE YEAH!!!)
Cheers
Nice list, however, is anyone excited about Spiderman 4, or Transformers 3?
And I remembered another one. Pirates 4.
Is Cars 2 confirmed for 2011? I loved that movie! i’d rather see a Monsters Inc sequel though!
great line up .
im dig’in IM2 Green hornet exct. on super hero movies.
but has any one heard any thing new about “Hench” & Danny McBride ???\
just a question ?
I do believe CARS 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2011 release..anybody else know for sure?
It states that POTC 4 has a September 2011 release date…that must be wrong
There’s a lot to get excited about up there
And a lot of dross
(Facebook: The Movie anyone???)
Can I quickly pop my pedantry hat on and say an American going to China to learn a Japanese Martial Art from a citizen of Hong-Kong is absolutely ridiculous… and a remake of The Karate Kid has already been done, a lot. They just had the decency to change the title whilst stealing the plot!
@ jordi
Well said…
When I first saw the title “From Paris with Love” and the poster, I would have sworn it was a new James Bond film.
Except for Iron Man 2 and The Expendables, there is nothing else on that list that is a MUST SEE for me.
Macgruber? SERIOUSLY???
I’ll definitely see Iron Man 2, maybe The Expendables or Lovely Bones but
@greenknight333
2011 looks awesome!
what if you could only see one?
Spidey 4?
Thor?
Capt. America?
or
Green Lantern?
THE FUTURE KOFI ALL THE WAY TO THE YEAR 2000??
IN THE YEAR 2000 TIGER WOODS FINALLY DECIDES TO QUIT GOLF AND PURSUE HIS NATURAL ABILITIES AT TAMING THE AWE INSPIRING CHALLENGE OF THE COCKTAIL WAITRESS.
@The Pitt Man
If i could only see one of those, it would be Thor. And the one i would avoid would be Spidey, will only see that if i get a free ticket.
@ The Pitt Man
“what if you could only see one?
Spidey 4?
Thor?
Capt. America?
or
Green Lantern?”
My God man!! ARe you mad?!! THat’s like asking which organ I would give up first..an impossible question to answer!! Just kidding
I have seen SPider-man on film so that bit of childhood curiosity has been appeased and the fact that the first two were done so well would make never seeing a new Spider-man film easier to bear(I think SPider-man 2 is as close to a perfect comic book movie as possible for what’s out there in the genre)…I would pick Captain AMerica over Thor..I collected Cap comics when I was a kid and have recently started reading the Rebirth Story arc.. I have always loved Cap!! I am REALLY INTO Green Lantern right now and have all 46 issues of the relaunch with Geoff Johns and I have to say they are great! I have been a lifelong fan of Hal Jordan’s Green Latern..over 30 years so I will have to pic GL as the one film I would have to see…but who are we kidding? I know I am going to see all those films opening day in the theater!!!! How about you? Which one would you choose if you had to pick one?
Cheers
I’m looking forward to seeing Iron Man 2, Tron Legacy, Toy Story 3, Shutter Island, The Wolfman and The Book of Eli.
Isn’t Inception coming out in 2010? If so, it will probably be the movie of the year up there with IM2. The fact that no one is talking about shows how much of a sleeper hit it will be IMO.
Oh there are about a dozen on that list I’m looking forward to, but you’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for our “Most Anticipated 2010 Movies” post.
Vic
I have no interest in Tron…I hated the first film and it seems quite archaic when watched today IMO..so nothing about a new movie makes me compelled to see it..Must sees for me next year:
Iron Man 2
Toy Story 3
Green Zone
Clash of the Titans
Robin Hood
Little Fockers
The Last Airbender(save judgement on that til I see a trailer)
I’m excited for Inception, THe Book of Eli and Shutter Island!
its a about damn time they remade The Howling. IT BETTER NOT SUCK EITHER. VAMPIRES = PFFFT!!!!
Daybreakers I want to see. Probably the only semi-interesting vampire movie in the last decade…
Youth in Revolt, yay, Michael Cera playing the same role he plays in every movie he’s in, yay!…
Book of Eli: Bring it Ray Stevenson! lol
The Lovely Bones: I’m disappointed to hear some of these negative reviews, I was looking forward to this one, the trailer made it look pretty intriguing…
Legion: Seems pretty cheesy, but I know a friend that would definitely be interested, so might end up watching it. Plus it has Dennis Quaid in it…
Edge of Darkness: Can’t wait!! Casino Royale meets Mel Gibson! lol.
From Paris with Love looks retarded as hell…
Percy Jackson: I’m interested, might end up watching it.
Cop Out: Looks pretty dumb, and Kevin Smith… meh… But it has Bruce Willis, might watch it, or might catch it on rental, depending on the reviews. Dammit Bruce, make a kick-ass action movie again, like another Die Hard, or hopefully Red will kick ass…
Green Zone: Matt Damon in a movie about Iraq… I wonder what political spin that movie will have… Hm, what a mystery… lol
CLASH OF THE TITANS!! DAMN THE GODS!!! lol Release the Kraken!!
The Losers: When I first heard about this, had absolutely 0 interest, but now, I’ll wait until it comes out and read what the reviews say…
IRON MAN 2!!!!! Nah, not interested at all…. LOL!! Man, I can’t freakin’ wait, come on Stephie, we’ll meet in the middle and watch the premier somewhere in between Illinois and Florida, lol. Everyone’s invited! Iron Man party! Woot!!
Robin Hood: *yawn* yah, steal from the evil rich, give to the poor, awwww, sounds like our government’s tax plan…
Prince of Persia looks kind of cheesy, but it’s a video game movie, so as long as it doesn’t completely suck, it’s accomplished something, lol.
Karate Kid: Ah, a Chinese guy teaching a kid Chinese martial arts in a movie with a Japanese (well, Okinawan) martial art as the title… Yah, makes complete sense… *rolls eyes*
Toy Story 3: Heck yah, I can’t wait, TS 1 and 2 were great!
Wow, June and July, other than Toy Story 3, just a bunch of crap…
The Expendables, hm, Bruce Willis, Sly Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all on the screen at once? How can you lose?? lol
Friday the 13th 2, I liked the first one actually, but only as a rental, won’t pay to go watch it, lol.
George Clooney is The American… Let’s hope he doesn’t represent the rest of us in America… Unless we’re all self-centered BS artists…
Red: Here we go, time for Bruce to show us what’s up…
Red Dawn: They better not mess this one up, or I hope Patrick Swayze himself gets to rise from his grave to strangle the director…
Chronicles of Narnia: Hey, saw the other two, can’t wait to see how it pans out.
Tron: Legacy: Woot!! Can’t wait!
Hm… it appears 2010 has more to offer than I once thought!
Great list, thanks Kofi!
Steve Carrel and Tina Fey are doing a movie together?? Date Night just got added to my list.
Also looking forward to Edge of Darkness, Shutter Island, Inception, Airbender, Expendables, and Alice in Wonderland.
@Ken J
Legion looks cheesy?
Angels with automatic rifles bringing the apocalypse = Awesome!
What’s not to like?!
I hope The Expendables is not cliched and cheesy ..Expectations from fanboys out there may be too high..
Red Dawn was cool when I was 15..but it’s premise is unrealistic…teenage football players beating experienced Russian commandos in warfare…c’mon..
@greenknight333
I dunno. Half of me wants The Expendables to be an 80s macho cheesefest! Just an all-out, action-packed, dumb fun rollercoaster ride!
