I’d forgotten that abc was run by disney. That explains a lot about their programming. Lose the pseudo reality shows, and really? another ‘cougar’ show? Well, now I have another reason not to watch the abc network. Perhaps they should start hiring people who know their jobs instead of relatives. They’ve have to be hiring relatives, don’t they? How else would they be able to schedule these shows and still keep their jobs?

I was just over at the abc website and Cougar Town sounds AWFUL. I hope I’m wrong, but it sounds like Courtney Cox’”New Adventures of Old Christine.” Out of the 4 new comedies, “Hank” sounds like the one with the most potential. At least ABC is TRYING to bring back scripted comedy. I’m just waiting for the next Tim Allen sit-com.

Man, I was hoping that Shark Tank was a show where people got to vote what corporate CEO scumbag got to swim with the sharks during a feeding frenzy.

I currently don’t watch any show on ABC, but it looks like with the moving of Smallville to Fridays I will be checking out Flash Forward. The premise sounds cool, but why do I have the feeling that I will like the show only to see it go the way of TSCC and end up on Fridays?

I think it’s a good move by ABC to have a comedy lineup on Wednesdays. I really don’t watch any TV besides sports on Wednesdays and this could be a good move if any of those shows are decent. I’m willing to give Kelsey Grammar and Ed O’Neill a shot. They did, after all, have 2 of the best comedy shows (IMO) of all-time in Frasier and Married…with Children.

I’m so upset by the cancellation of Pushing Daisies that I’m boycotting ABC…I am only watching the last season of Lost, and then I’m done with that network…I really enjoyed Dirty Sexy Money, too….It’s a shame that good shows are replaced with drivel like Cougar Town and reality shows….death to reality shows!!!

Shark Tank sounds like Dragons Den, a British show where you do exactly what you just said, it’s basically like American Idol auditioning rounds only with more hopeless wanna-be’s.

Yes. Shark Tank is a type of reality show. The premise annoys me so much, I loathe reporting this.

It features aspiring business entrepreneurs who pitch their business ideas to business moguls, in hopes of landing investment funds.

I shake my head as some creative forces seem to be getting desperate.

WES: do you remember the big delay getting this season of 24 off the ground?

One of the reasons it was stalled until when it was, was exactly because no network airs their top rated shows in the summer. Summer is travel and vacation time.

Have you noticed the influx of game and reality shows that come piling in just before or during the summer?

V and flash forward sound interesting but I don’t watch anything on abc. All my shows are either fox or CBS. House, 24, csi, the mentalist and ncis are my favs. No reality shows.

What’s wrong with airing shows during the summer? It would give the networks more flexibility in scheduling and could bring in new viewers.

It still makes me mad that television seems to be losing its quality shows, things like Pushing Daisies, Better off ted, and the Unusuals are getting the boot, while reality shows like Dancing with the stars, or the Bachelor are getting season after season, no offense to anyone who watches those shows. (I myself am an avid watcher of the Biggest Loser) However, its nice that television wont be completely void of good shows, with Lost, 24, and Castle returning, I’ll have something to watch.
